Chapter 5: She's So West Coast
Sigma's POV
I woke up to the sound of giggling and laughing. I think I heard some hardcore raging and Battlefield going on there too. Obviously, the first thing I thought was, Why are there girls in my house?
My second thought? Why did I sleep on the couch?
My third and final? This isn't my house...
Needless to say, the cramp in my neck was painful. I attempted to get up, but that hurt too, and I shouted out as the pain shot up my spine. Why? Well let me tell you...
It fucking hurt.
It hurt like hell, okay? That's it. You'd be crying if you had a pain like the one I just had. The only thing that was confusing about that moment besides the fact that I was in some girl's house was that I didn't feel like throwing up my guts. I held my head in my hands and groaned. I couldn't even remember what happened last night, where I was, why I was like this... Wait! The party! Joshua and Dylan were going to Rachel's party and they wanted me to come, I gave them and ultimatum or something. They said Skye was going to be there, and then they said she couldn't come when we were there. I drank a bit (I was pissed, okay?) and remember some redhead flirting with me. I think we made out, but that's it. I guess I pushed her away. If that's what happened, kudos to me. I've been off the flings and hook-ups for a while now and I want to stay that way. Especially if it was only going to happen because the girl I wanted wasn't there.
Ugh. I swear I'm getting out of this whipped.
Somewhere in the house a door opened, and I heard footsteps coming down the stairs. I didn't bother looking. It was probably the girl from last night. When they reached the bottom of the stairs there was a pause. Hell, it could be her older brother or even worse... her parents.
"Sigma?" came her sweet, sweet voice.
Of course I would be here. In her house. Of course. Where else would my intoxicated self go?
She called my name again, but she was much closer this time. I groaned in response and she sat next to me. She was talking to me but I wasn't listening. I turned to look at her and my stomach flipped. My eyes widened. Her hair was out and flowed over her shoulders. She was wearing a tank top and shorts. What caught my eye was a necklace she had on. It was a simple black chain with a triangle pendant. The pendant appeared to be gold, it was equilateral and it was hung by one of the angles. It lay between her collarbones. Didn't she realize how much she tempted me this way?
"Done checking me out?" she asked. Her eyes were serious but the corners of her mouth suppressed a smile and there was playfulness in her tone. I smiled and scratched the back of my neck. Nervous tick.
"Are you okay," Skye asked. "Need some water?" I shook my head and put my finger over her mouth to stop her.
"I don't have a hangover. I'm fine," I admitted.
Her eyes widened. "W-what..?" Exactly my thoughts.
"I don't have a hangover."
She looked down at her hands. "What happened last night," I asked. She went stiff. That couldn't be good. "Oh god," I said. "Skye, did I try anything with you? Anything at all? That's why you're so tense about thi-"
"You didn't do anything of the sort. You just hugged me and talked a bit before I let you sleep." I sighed. She looked up. "Do you know why you came here?"
I shrugged. "No clue. I was just drinking a ton because you were supposed to be there, but you weren't..."
"That was my idea," she admitted in shame. "They wanted to you relax so I told him to lie to you until you arrived."
