Ingrid's POV

The boy, Miguel, is a nice enough boy. As he lead me to the Jackson Estate, he talked to me about the village. The ups, the downs, almost everything I believe. I think he's just grateful for what I told him. I think he still has some doubts about it, I still think he found it helpful, maybe even life saving.

The towns people paid us no mind as we walked. They most likely think it was just a boy being accompanied by his mother or grandmother. That's good though because it attracts little to no attention and right now, I need that.

We arrived at the church in what I assumed to be at least half an hour. The scene was something new, almost magical. There was a large building, the highest I've ever seen with the cross on the front. Below the cross stood the door that lead to the inside of the church and judging from the noise coming from the church, they're currently having a mass. In front of the church was a large park with lush forest trees in it with paths to walk on. I saw children and adults alike enjoying the serenity of park, playing, chatting, having a picnic, etc. It was peaceful.

As I gazed upon the whole scene, I thought about the idea of religion. It was fascinating to me that there could be more than one, created by many cultures that have their own interpretation of gods.

Miguel soon knocked me out of my thoughts. "Come on. The Jackson estate is this way." He said pointing in the direction of what I assumed to be William's home. From where he pointed, I saw there was a bit more town left until it slowly progressed into the country side of Ashfeld. I guess it make sense. With William being of Noble descent, he and his family wouldn't want to live in the noisy streets with the common people while they have the money to get their own place somewhere much more quiet.

I nod at Miquel and me and him continue on our way. It took about 45 minutes to walk all the way the estate. Along the walk, I looked around the country side of Ashfeld and I had nothing to compare it to. Back in Valkenheim, We don't have open spaces like this or crop fields this big. I guess that's why my people always hit Ashfeld the most.

Miquel soon stopped and I soon follow suit as well. I look around and my eyes immediately land on the large two story house. It was surrounded by an iron gate and at the entrance stood two guards, both female judging from the shape of their armor.

Me and Miquel walk to them and they immediately stood at the ready as if preparing to strike.

Miguel spoke to them. "We're here to see William Jackson. Is he here?" He asked.

The guard on the right looked down on Miguel and started to speak as well. "He isn't here little one. Is there anything else?" she said with a slight hint of annoyance in her voice as she spoke to him. Her voice was deep, almost like a Viking woman's voice.

"Then where is he?" Miguel asked the same guard.

The guard on the left responded instead. Compared to her partner's voice, he sounded more soft and much more patient.

"He isn't here. None of the Jackson are currently here. They are currently at Sir Dante's estate for his and Lady Elise's wedding" she said.

Dante. William's best friend. Of course, now I remember. He mention his wedding back at the long house.

I pulled my hood a little bit more over my head and decided to become vocal.

"Okay so where is Dante's estate?" I asked calmly.

Though I couldn't see because of her helmet, I felt the right guard's eyes narrow. "What business do you even want with William anyway?" She asked suspiciously.

"I just have a message for him that I need to speak to him about" I said sternly. I wasn't lying. I did have a message I wanted to talk to him about.
