William's POV
The reception ended a little while ago. People started to leave the Scott manor, some of them drunk.
I stood with my mom, dad, and Ingrid awaiting our carriage that's to come soon. Ever since the incident, everyone has been quiet around each other and I couldn't help but join in.
There's not a doubt in my mind that my mom knows who Ingrid really is. All the pieces are starting to come together in her mind. I know it. The odd, Viking like haircut could of slide by but that with her Norse, even a drunk could figure it out.
I look to my peacekeeper mom to see her holding my dad's left arm, clinging to him. 'She must be cold' I thought to myself. I was actually starting to feel a bit chilly myself.
I soon felt my left arm be taken into a hold I saw Ingrid, hood on, holding my arm all the while blushing madly while I blushed lightly. I wasn't the first time I clanged to by a girl.
"It's cold alright" she said.
"But you live in Valkenheim, the coldest place around. This shouldn't even be a problem for you considering the armor you wear" I whispered to her.
"First of all, my armor is actually pretty warm to wear and second, do you have a problem with my holding your arm?" she said.
"Not really but..." I then smirk. "If you REALLY want to warm up, perhaps we can do something more... physically"
Ingrid then sports a seductive smirk herself. "Ohhh.... what is it that you want to do then?". She then ran one of her hands across my chest, enticing me. We would of started kissing if it wasn't for a loud "AHEM" knocking us out of our lust.
We look to the source and find my mom and dad looking at us, my mom sporting a hard glare and my dad an awkward look, of someone whose seen something they shouldn't have seen.
"If you wish to engage I any... activities, I suggest you WAIT until we get home" my mom said. She and Ingrid started having an intense staring match with each other and I could of sworn I saw lighting between them.
My dad and I just stood back and let the females at it. I learned since I was young that women were quite volatile, my mom even more so but she was more silent about it. From my time with Ingrid, I learned that she can be aggressive in both the loud and silent variety, depending on the situation.
Both women continued their stare down with each other even as the carriage came to a stop in front of us. I filed on in and took our seats and were on my way home.
We sat in pairs, my mom with my dad and me with Ingrid, and we sat across from each other which helped in favor of the staring contest between Ingrid and my mom while me and my dad had the same idea and stare out the windows looking at the moving countryside outside.
My dad then spoke, breaking their staring contest with a question. "So In-Isabella, where are you from?"
Instead of an answer, my father received stares from me, Ingrid, and my mother.
"...w-what?"
"So you told your father about her before me? Hmph!" my mom said. she then crossed her legs and arms and looked out the window, slightly pouting.
"So you know about what happened in Valkenheim Mr. Jackson?" Ingrid asked. My father simply replied with a nod.
"To tell you the truth, I don't care all that much if you're a Viking. You saved my son and all I can say to you is a thousand thanks" he turn to my mom, smiling. "...right, hon?"
My mom slowly uncrosses her limbs and looks to Ingrid with a hard look but softens. "I... suppose so. Thank you for saving my son Ingrid"
The wide, warm smile Ingrid gave made me smile as well. "It was no big deal. I kind of saved him two times if you included that time I brought him to my village. You know with my status keeping his ass from being kicked"
"You're right about that"
"I still can't believe you told your father before me William" my mom stated irritated.
"You have to admit mom that dad is less volatile than you and took the news rather calmly while you would... be...."
My mom quirked her eye eyebrow at what I was saying. "Go on"
"...less calm about it"
my mom narrowed her eyes at that and mumbled something along the lines of 'I'm always calm' or something like that. Dad then wrapped an arm around her saying "We know" as she stared out the window again.
I then felt slight pressure on the arm and see Ingrid leaning against me, eyes closed, and breathing slow.
"You tired?"
"Yeah. Mostly from that whole situation but I'm glad it happened. The transparence was needed for all of us" she said smiling slightly
"Yeah...". I smiled as well. "It sure was"
The ride continued on without another word.
