the lake house - p2
millie's pov

i wake up early, earlier than everyone else. i check the time to see it is 6:07am. i go downstairs and make myself a coffee to wake myself up. i sit outside on the front porch to admire the view of the lake, it was beautiful. it shimmered as the morning sun came above it. i could have sat there for hours. the silence was interrupted by my phone getting multiple of notifications. i then look at my phone to see that i got a text from jacob. i felt sick when i see his name.

jacob; millie i'm sorry, i got carried away, but don't you dare tell anyone about what fucking happened
jacob; it could ruin me
jacob; please millie
jacob; reply to your fucking texts
jacob; and tell your boyfriend finn that i am going to fucking ruin him

i look at the messages with my mouth hanging open. i feel sick in my stomach. first he sexually assaults me and now he is threatening me not to tell anyone? how sick can a person get. i snap out my thoughts to see finn walking out onto the porch with a cigarette in between his lips. he ignores me, as if i wasn't there and let's out a cloud of smoke.

"since when did you smoke?" i ask him
he doesn't reply, just continues to breath in smoke and puff it back out. i roll my eyes at him and continue to stare at jacob's messages.
"did jacob message you?" i hear him say, his voice was really raspy in the morning.
"y-yeah" i mumble. suddenly he snatches my phone out my hand and reads the messages. his eyebrows furrow when her reaches the last one.

"boyfriend? the fuck is he on about" finn mutters.
"i- i don't know" i mumble. he stumps his cigarette and walks inside, shutting the door behind him.

when everyone else finally wakes up we make breakfast. gaten and iris make us eggs for breakfast while me and noah make the toast.
we all then sit down at the large table that has a view of the lake that sparkled in the morning sun, it was beautiful to look at.

"so, what should we do later?" lilia asks.
"we should swim in the lake!" caleb says.
"won't it be cold?" finn says.
"no, it should be fine" noah says.
"let's go and get ready and meet down here in 30 minutes" sadie says.

we all run upstairs to get our swimming costumes on and grab everything we need for the day. i wear a white floral bikini, while sadie wore a bright red bikini.

"sadie, your bikini is blinding me" i say jokingly.
"and yours is boring me, you should expose your body more! you have a great figure!" she says.
"what? no! i am not exactly trying to impress anyone am i" she rolls her eyes at me but laughs at the same time.
"come on, the others are waiting" she says as she drags me out the room.

as we get down to the lake everyone is already sitting around, except gaten and caleb who are already swimming in the lake together. i then see finn, he stands up and takes his shirt off, my eyes widen. he as abs? ok i need to stop staring. ew.

lilia and iris jump into the water along with finn and noah. me and sadie run in after them. as the cold water touches my body i jump in shock and start to swear. the water is freezing. gaten comes up behind me and lifts me onto his shoulders. i scream and try to wriggle out of his grip. i then see sadie who is on top of caleb's shoulders. me and sadie start to push each other and then sadie pushes me causing me to topple over into the freezing water.

"SADIE I SWEAR-" i scream at her.
everyone laughs, especially sadie who is close to tears and she is howling while bent over. i roll my eyes and then rugby tackle her into the water.

after a while we decide to come out of the water since the sun was setting and it was turning cold. we all gather round the campfire and we get some drinks. i spot caleb and sadie cuddling up together, they were cute. i wink at sadie who naturally puts her middle finger up at me, which makes me laugh.

"spin the bottle?" lilia asks.
everyone agrees and we form a circle with an empty coke bottle in the middle.
noah goes first. he looked very nervous as it was spinning, but when it landed on lilia he seemed to calm down. without hesitation they both kiss each other quickly. we all cheer and then lilia passes the bottle to caleb. caleb spins it, as it spins he keeps glancing at sadie. it eventually lands on gaten causing everyone to laugh hysterically except from caleb. gaten starts to cry he was laughing that much. he pulls caleb in and plants a quick kiss onto his lips.

"galeb!" iris cries out.
"or caten" gaten says, still crying and laughing.

after a long night of playing games we decide to start heading back inside since it was late. everyone runs in, leaving me and finn to clear up the litter. we stay silent. until i say something.

"finn, i need to speak to you"
"well i don't need to speak to you"
"stop being an asshole for one minute and listen" i fire out. he looks shocked at my sudden outburst but then returns to his usual emotionless expression.
"i don't want to continue this petty arguing anymore"
"millie, some people just aren't meant to like each other"
"i don't understand what i have done for you to hate me so much"
"i don't like most people, you are in the majority"
"how can i change that"
"you just can't millie! i don't fucking like you! get that in your head"
"why are you such a prick?!" i shout at him before running off, i don't know where, i just ran. i kept on running until i couldn't run anymore. i was next to the lake, but the house was no where to be seen. i continue to walk further and further away. not caring about what could happen to me.

suddenly i slip on a rock, a sharp pain causes me to scream. i look down at my leg to see a large slash and blood dripping out of it, slowly causing my leg to turn red. i cry in pain. nobody could help me. i was alone.
