the lake house - p1
millie's pov

i wake up to my alarm ringing, i check the time to see it is 7am, lilia is picking us up in 2 hours. i pack all my things into a small suitcase and then i get dressed. i wear an oversized red hoodie thank looks like a dress and then i put on my converse, i leave my hair wavy. i head downstairs for some breakfast and then i hear a lilia's car from outside. i grab my bag and then run outside, i was the last person to be picked up and everyone was sat in the van. i give caleb my bag which he puts in the back and then i sit next to sadie.

the car drive was about 2 hours and we listened to music for most of it. we had to stop about 5 times since gaten needed more snacks and noah needed a wee. when we finally arrived we were all really excited. the lake house was beautiful, it was sat facing the the
lake and the surroundings were amazing. when we got all our bags we went inside to look at the house. there were 4 rooms with two single beds in each room. me and sadie went in one, iris and lilia, caleb and finn and noah and gaten. we went and unpacked all our things and then we all met downstairs afterwards.

"so, what should we do?" iris asks.
"well, we could play games around the campfire or something" noah says.
"games?" caleb says.
"yeah, like truth or dare, spin the bottle" noah says.
"ok, sounds good, let's go!" gaten says.
"wait bring marshmallows!" sadie says.

i grab a pack of marshmallows and then we start to walk down to the campfire on the edge of the lake. caleb and finn light the campfire while the rest of us arrange logs around it.

"ok, lets play truth or dare, but with a twist" lilia says excitedly.
"what twist?" i ask nervously.
"you can either answer the truth or do the dare, but if you don't then you take a shot" lilia says.
"uh- ok" i say.
"caleb truth or dare?" noah asks.
"dare!" he says.
"kiss sadie" noah says.
without even thinking about it, caleb leans forward and presses his lips against sadie's. we all scream and cheer for them, they pull away turning bright red.
"finn! truth or dare?" sadie asks excitedly.
"dare" he mumbles
"go behind the tree over there, with millie, for ten minutes" she says with a smirk on her face.
"take the shot" i say.
without hesitation, he takes the shot, wincing at the strong taste of alcohol. everyone stays quiet for a while, until gaten breaks the silence.
"millie, truth or dare?" he asks.
"truth" i reply.
"why do you and finn hate each other so much" he asks.
"because he is a asshole, he treats everyone like shit, he doesn't care about anyone but himself" i blurt out. everyone's eyes widen but they stay silent.

"i hate millie because she is a petty, immature little girl that can't seem to do anything with her life but annoy others. she thinks everyone likes her when in actual fact, no one gives a shit about you" he fires back.

my eyes water, that hurt.

finn's pov
i look over to millie, her eyes are watering, she looks likes she is about to cry. i couldn't give a shit, i told her what i really think about her and she did the same, at least we are now both aware that we hate each other, we aren't even friends.

we go back inside and get ready for bed since it was 1:00am and we were all really tired.

"you and millie really do hate each other" caleb says from his bed.
"yeah" i mutter.
"why? i don't understand how it all started"
"she is pathetic, we have never liked each other"
"this whole negative relationship between you two is pathetic"
"how?"
"because we are all best friends, and you two are in this group but you hate each other"
"i can't change how i feel towards her though"
"yes you can, just try talking to her"
"i don't want to talk to her, I don't want anything to do with her"
"you two are alike in many ways but you don't realise it, you will get along at some point, trust me"

a/n ; uM so this is really short, super cringe and just an awful chapter in general so i apologise about that! but i think you will alll be pleased very soon ;)
