The Beginning

Lilly's pov:
I woke up in an unfamiliar place, I was in a room at (what looked like) an abandoned house. How did I get here? I then heard a familiar voice close by, wanting to know how I got here I got out of the bed I was in and started walking towards where the voice came from. The talking stopped and I heard a terrible scraping noise downstairs.

When I went downstairs I saw...Kara? And Alice? But how? I must be dreaming or something. They were both asleep so I tried to walk quietly past them. I heard the scraping noise again in a room nearby. If I'm where I think I am then that must be Ralph making that noise. I slowly opened the door to see Ralph carving the words Ra9 on the wall with a knife.

I slowly approached him, "Hi," I said. I must've given him a freight because when I said that he immediately dropped the knife.

"You're awake," He said, "You startled poor Ralph."

"I'm sorry Ralph, I didn't mean to startle you...How did I get here?" I asked.

"Ralph found you outside, Ralph brought you here, Ralph didn't want to see you get wet out in the rain," Ralph explained.

"You aren't...Scared of me?" I asked, "After all, I am a human."

"When Ralph found you-you looked harmless," Ralph said. Before I could say anything I heard Alice waking up next door. "Ralph show you new friends!" Ralph exclaimed excitedly. He went to the door and motioned for me to follow him. He got some dead animal and offered it to Alice. Kara then came downstairs and saw the commotion.

"Ralph found this to feed the little girl!" He exclaimed happily. "It's good for her...A present" He said, "To make up for past misunderstandings...Ralph'll cook." "We will do just like human's do, humans like burnt meat." Kara looked at Alice and Ralph, speechless. "Do you want some too?" He asked me, I slowly shook my head.

"I'm not that hungry," I said.

"Come! Come and sit down!" He gestured to two empty chairs for me and Kara to sit on. I motioned Kara to go along with it and she nodded her head. We both then sat down.

"That's better, Ralph went to a lot of trouble to find something for the little girl to eat," Ralph said. "It wouldn't be polite for her to refuse, would it?" He asked. "Great, it's going to be great, succulent you'll see. Succulent. Succulent." He said, "Father, mother, little girls."

"Please, Kara," Alice said, "I don't wanna eat that!"

"What did she say?" Ralph asked.

'Oh shit,' I thought, 'Kara please don't tell him the truth.'

"She said she can't wait to eat it!" Kara said, "She's very hungry."

'Thank god,' I thought, 'We don't want him to get upset.'

"The human is not gonna regret it! Ralph found the best, the biggest one he could find! This is going to be succulent! Succulent!" Ralph exclaimed. "Go ahead, eat," Ralph said calmly. He waited a little bit, "Eat!" He exclaimed, obviously upset. He started calming down a bit then whispered: "Eat."

"I saw the body upstairs, you killed that human, didn't you?" Kara asked.

'Oh no...' I thought, 'This isn't going to end well...'

"No...No, he was like that when Ralph found him..." Ralph said.

'Kara please don't insist!' I thought worried.

"You killed that man, Ralph, there's no point in lying," Kara said.

'Oh Kara please don't,' I thought.

"You hate humans, but you're just like them. You're a murderer!" Kara shouted.

"Ralph didn't mean any harm...No...It's just that...Ralph can't control his anger...When his anger comes, Ralph doesn't know what he's doing...he...He becomes stupid...full of hatred...Ralph is sorry...He just wanted to be your friend," Ralph explained.
