"I want to stay with Gavin if that's alright with you," I said, looking over at Captain Fowler.

"It's all good, you still want to take the kid home Gavin?" Fowler asked, looking over at Gavin.

"Of course," Gavin said.

I looked over at Hank And Connor guiltily, "Don't take it personally Hank, I just, want to stay with Gavin, I'll talk to you later," I said.

Hank slowly nodded in agreement, not knowing what to say.

"You better start packing away your stuff over there," Captain Fowler suggested, pointing at all the nice gifts I got.

I nodded and started packing my stuff away into a suitcase I was given. There was so much stuff to pack and I didn't know how to handle it all. Gavin had gone to discuss the terms with Captain Fowler and Hank was at his desk in his own world so neither of them can help me. Suddenly I heard shuffling beside me and looked over to see Connor helping pack away the stuff. I smiled, thankful for his help then continued packing everything.

"Thanks, Connor, it really means a lot," I said, looking over at him.

He looked over at me hesitantly then said, "Your...Your welcome..." He replied.

He looked conflicted about something, maybe he's starting to become more deviant?

"You know I thought you were a detective, not a maid," I said to him sarcastically, honestly I just wanted to get a reaction out of him.

He looked at me at a loss for words, "My only concern is the mission, nothing more..." He said, nervousness clear in his voice.

I smiled, knowing that wasn't true, "Then why are you helping me?" I asked.

"Well..." He said, not knowing what to say, "Androids are supposed to help humans, so since I cannot fulfill my main objection at the moment, which is to apprehend the deviants and find out how deviancy spreads...I am required to help humans if need be."

I had to say...that excuse was pretty good, but that's not gonna work on me. I can hear the hesitation in his voice, I can see the cogs whirring inside of his head. I decided it was best not to say anything more to him and let him work things out for himself. Finally, I finished packing everything up and Connor helped me load the bags into Gavin's car trunk.

"Gavin wait!" I shouted to get his attention.

Gavin stopped getting into the car raising an eyebrow at me.

"Can I talk to Hank before we go?" I asked.

Gavin looked over at Hank who was chatting with Connor a few feet away.

He sighed, "Fine, but try to hurry up," He said while getting into the car and waiting in the driver's seat.

"Thanks, Gavin!" I yelled while running towards Hank and Connor.

"Unbelievable..." Gavin said under his breath, laughing a bit.

I walked over to Hank and Connor, eager to talk to them.

"Hi Hank, can I talk to you for a sec?" I asked.

"Sure, what is it, kid?" Hank asked, raising an eyebrow at me.

"Well...I just wanted to say that the reason I chose to stay with Gavin wasn't that I think you aren't capable of taking care of me," I said, "it's just that...I think Gavin needs some company right now and you have Connor for company so..."

"It's ok kid, you don't have to explain nothing to me," Hank replied.

"Thanks, I'm glad you understand," I said to Hank giving him a smile.

Hank smiled back, seeming happy to be able to talk to me.

Connor interrupted Hank and I's sweet moment, "Luitenant Anderson, I need to get back to cyberlife."

"Yeah yeah I know Connor," He groaned, a little bit annoyed at Connor's behaviour.

I just watched the whole thing in amusement.

"Ok well, see you kid," Hank said, "Make sure not to piss of Gavin he gets really grumpy easily."

I giggled at that last comment but agreed and walked over to Gavin's car, waving at Hank and Connor on my way there.

"Took ya long enough," Gavin said.

I rolled my eyes at his immature behaviour but didn't say anything.

The car trip was very quiet, there wasn't really much to say, It's a good thing you don't learn much about Gavin in the game, then I won't accidentally say something I shouldn't know. Once we pulled up at Gavin's house I noticed it was very unkept, it was a mess everywhere. I could tell Gavin was embarrassed but I didn't judge, It looked like at one point Gavin probably had some sort of temper tantrum, hopefully it doesn't get too bad that he'd direct his anger at me. He does seem overprotective of me though so I highly doubt it.

"Sorry about the mess," Gavin said rubbing the back of his head, "I'll clean it up in the morning."

"Can I help?" I asked.

"Nah, it's ok kid, I've got this," Gavin said reassuringly.

"Ok..." I said.

"I've got a spare room for you...don't worry, it's not a mess like this..." Gavin said.

I looked at him and noticed he looked uncomfortable...I wonder why?

"Thanks for letting me stay here for now," I said, really thankful for his compassion towards me.

"Your welcome kid, it's nothing," Gavin replied.

Gavin showed me to my room then left and started cleaning the lounge room.

I explored the room, it definitely looked like a girls room, the walls were a nice light shade of pink, the ceiling had glowing star stickers stuck onto it. There were some stuff toys on the bed, I noticed surprisingly a little cot in the corner of the room, which seemed out of place.

'Usually, a cot like this would be in the parent's room no?' I thought, Unless...'

I didn't like snooping, especially if it's the room I think it is but I looked at the books in the bookshelf looking for any sign of a name. I saw some sort of journal in the bedside table drawer next to the bed. I looked at the first page and found what I was looking for.

'Cassandra Reed...' I stared at the name thoughtfully, 'Is that Gavin's sister? What did he say her name was?'

I was annoyed I didn't remember but then realized he didn't even say his sister's name. I decided it would be best not to read the journal, I didn't want to disrespect the dead.
