Connor's pov:

Hank and I had just finished having a quiet talk together. It was...nice. At the moment we were in the elevator heading towards a suspected deviant. While in the elevator I made contact with Amanda.

"Connor, it's nice to see you have you got anything to report?" Amanda asked me.

"I found a teenage girl who might have information about the AX400 that assaulted Todd Williams," I informed her.

"What have you discovered about the girl?" Amanda asked, curious.

"Not much, I think my facial recognition has malfunctioned," I told Amanda.

"And what makes you say that?" She asked, yet again.

"I couldn't identify her face in any of the records stored in my memory," I replied.

"That's impossible, are you sure?" Amanda asked, surprised but keeping composure.

"Yes, I presume there is a problem with my facial recognition and that's why I can't identify her," I told Amanda.

"Your facial recognition is working perfectly, there's something about that girl, you have to investigate it, Connor," Amanda told me firmly.

"I'll try my best Amanda," I said, trying to be neutral about the whole situation.

"And if there's a deviant in this apartment, capture it no matter what," Amanda said.

"I understand Amanda," I replied, a little unsure. What if there's the risk of civilian casualties? Or more importantly, Hank? I couldn't think about that right now, I'll know what to do when the time comes.

"Good, now go with Anderson and investigate it," Amanda told me.

I closed my eyes and opened them to find Luitenant Anderson waiting for me.

"Hey, Connor!" Hank yelled, "you ran out of batteries or something?"

"I'm sorry, I was making a report to Cyberlife," I replied.

"Huh, well do you plan on staying in the elevator?" He asked me.

"No! I'm coming," I replied, eager to get to the investigation.

Then Hank left, me following.

Timeskip (all the clues were found and Rupert was just found).

"God damn fucking pigeons," Hank exclaimed.

"What are you waiting for?! Chase it!" He yelled at me.

I chased after the deviant out of the room and down the hallway, the deviant burst through a door to a rooftop then jumped onto another rooftop nearby while I chased after it. I pursued the deviant for a while, jumping across and running through buildings as well as on top of a train until I hit a cornfield losing sight of the deviant for a bit. Once I emerged out of the cornfield I saw the deviant push Hank off the roof, he yelped and hung onto the edge of the roof. I looked between Hank and the deviant, not sure what to do. I analysed my options and saw that hank had an 89% probability of surviving.

I wasn't taking that chance.

I grabbed onto Hank's hand, pulling him up.

"Shit! Oh SHIT! We had it! Fuck!" Hank swore to himself.

I looked at Hank and said, "It's my fault, I should have been faster."

"You'd have caught it if it weren't for me..." Hank said, "That's alright. We know what it looks like. We'll find it..."

Hank turned towards the door, I was about to start following him when suddenly he turned around.

"Hey, Connor..." He said as if pondering if he should tell me something.

I turned around attentively, listening to what he had to say.

"Nothing." He said.

I paused pondering over what he was going to say, perhaps he was going to thank me for saving his life? I then followed him, continuing to wonder if what he was going to say was what I expected and wondering why he didn't tell me what he was going to say.
