Here's chapter 6....

-----------------------------------------

The Avengers Facility looms closer and closer as we near it in one of the cars that brought the Avengers to my house. I'm in between Cap and Natasha and I can feel them squishing me, on purpose. Rhodes is in the front with the driver. They're all talking about something to do with the whole situation, but I'm not listening.

I've only ever seen the facility on TV and that was just average. Seeing it in real life is definitely something else. Even though it was built aa few years ago, it still looks brand new. 'Stark definitely did a good job' I think as I stare at it in awe. We arrive and Cap basically drags me out of the car as if I'm a hostage. I probably am.

I see the others get out of the car behind us and I notice that Thor has already decided to wander off. It only then dawns on me that I've really pissed him and the Avengers off. The rest of them make their way up the stairs to the entrance, half leading me the way, half being pulled up the stairs by Cap.

They all walk through two huge glass doors that lead to a very messy room covered in wires and computers. Cap practically throws me onto a very uncomfortable chair. I squirm around in it trying to get comfortable while Banner brings up a projector. My thoughts start to wonder and I think where Thor might've gone. I see thunder and lightning outside. I don't even want to know. I quickly snap back into reality when I hear Bruce say something.

"What's this, your 'problem solving' room?" I ask still trying to find a comfy position.

"If that's what you wanna call it, why?" Rhodes asks.

"Well, I would've thought that since you sort things out in here you would want to be comfortable, therefore have comfy chairs" I reply stating my opinion in a tone that pisses Rhodes off.

"If it matters to you that much then get a different chair" he replies raising his voice.

"Alright that's enough you two. Ivy, we didn't bring you here to piss off the team, we brought you here to help us figure out how to stop this." I roll my eyes, 'I didn't even want to come here'. Cap sighs deeply then turns to Banner cueing him to share his ideas.

"Okay, so far what I've come up with is that we could either use Ivy's time powers, or-" Banner says getting cut off.

"No, no, no and more no" I say. "I don't use my powers" I finish only receiving backlash.

"Not even when the universe under Thanos' complete control?!" Cap yells losing his temper, not something he does often.

"Steve, calm down. Ivy if you're not going to use your powers then how else can we stop Thanos?" Nat asks. She got me.

"There isn't any other way, the only reason I don't use my powers is because I don't want the world to find out who I am" I say sighing afterwards feeling defeated from my long day.

"Ivy if you don't use your powers there will be no order in the world, there will be chaos" Bruce says reminding me that Thanos has successfully snapped his fingers and the life of half the universe is on it's way to becoming extinct. I see the light outside is fading, indicating it's getting late.

"Look, it's getting dark outside and I have school tomorrow. I'll come back here after school if you want." They all look at me probably thinking 'why the hell is she thinking about school?'

"Fine, I'll pick you up straight from school kid. Meet me out front. If you're not there waiting for me, we'll send out a search party for you" Cap replies in an intimidating voice. I only roll my eyes, get up and leave the room and catch the bus all the way back to Queens.

-----------------------------------------

I walk through the gates of Midtown High School and turn up the volume to my music to block out the noise around me. I stroll through the hallway eager to get to my locker and collect my books for class.

School is chaotic. It's the first day back since the snap and everyone's freaking out. I see a girl walking in the hallway talking to her friends, but then she vanishes, leaving the tiny flakes of dust to float to the floor. Her friend's scream bringing multiple teachers outside to see what's going on.

"Our friend! She just, vanished!" One of the girls say. The teacher frowns at her and shakes his head oblivious to the events that occurred on Friday.

"Don't believe us?" Another girl shouts. "She saw!" She says pointing directly at me making me stop in my tracks "Didn't you?" She asks me her eyes staring straight into mine. I stare back at her thinking how demanding people are these days and pull out one of my earphones.

"Yeah I did, bye" I reply not showing that I care before hearing the girl say 'see I told you so!' I only make it a few metres before one of the jocks stop to talk to me. They saw the whole thing happen and now they want to annoy me. 'Thanks' I think sarcastically.

"Hey there! I don't think I've seen you around before. Are you new?" He asks with a smug look on his face while his mates snicker quietly, but loud enough for me to hear behind him. I look at the muscles in his shoulders and his biceps, his dirty blond hair and chiselled jawline. Any girl would fall for him, but I know that he just wants to start trouble. Plus, I can't really afford to be with anyone because of my secrets.

"No actually, I've been here since ninth grade" I reply as the look on his face disappears and a new one forms that says he has no interest in me. I know what would happen if I was new though, they would probably beat me up, they most definitely wouldn't succeed though.

Just as I was about to walk away someone bumps into me sending me flying into the jocks' arms and he catches me. Immediately I wriggle free scowling at the fact that I just landed in the jocks' arms, making him look like a superhero. Now that it's happened he's gonna act like a superhero.

"Are you okay?" He asks gently pretending to care about me. "Watch where you're going idiot!" He calls after the person who bumped into me. He turns around and I can see tears streaming from his eyes. I take note of what he looks like, to talk to him later and see if he's okay.

"Hey, you didn't answer my question" the jock says. I turn back around and look up at him.

"I'm fine thank you" I reply rudely, spin on my heel and walk to class just as the bell rings, not bothering to get my books.

-----------------------------------------

They both feel the energy between the Stones and the weapon. They both feel them calling for each other, however, he doesn't know that it's the weapon calling to the Stones, only she does. He does know that it's something though, and he's eager to find out what that is. He continuously clenches and unclenches his fist to ease the pain the Stones cause his left hand to feel. Instead of taking the gauntlet off, he leaves it on, and lets the Stones lead him to this something. He's realised that the closer he gets, the stronger the force that pulls him towards Earth. And the stronger the force, the stronger the pain.

-----------------------------------------

There we go, chapter 6. I know this kinda went into Ivy's school life but I needed to get Midtown in there for everything to slot in place. Coincidence? I think not. Can you guess who the guy that was crying is? Lemme know down below.

As usual don't forget to comment, share, promote and vote (and follow if your feeling generous)!

Chapter 7 will be coming on Friday... maybe. If so, see you then!
