New detective (Connor x Reader)

MISSION 1 - CHAPTER 2

You read through some more homicide files involving deviants to catch up with Connor's intelligence about them while sipping on a beautiful cup of Jo (jacksepticeye reference) "I've been dealing with deviants for 5 years, ain't nothing here that I have ever seen before" I look at Connor with a surprised face "How are they so different compared to your cases detective?" Connor looks at the computer, confused, you point at the computer as you talk "These homicides, Connor, are not normal. They are more gruesome than hell." You look back at the computer as Connor's LED turns yellow and back to blue "I have just been sent in that there has been a homicide involving a deviant. We should head there immediately detective L/N." You immediately stand up from your chair and finish your cup of Jo "We should head immediately indeed Connor" you walk out of the station with Connor beside you as you throw away your Jo behind your back and it sassily lands into the bin "I'll drive." You grab the keys gently from Connor and get into the police car with Connor, driving to the scene immediately when the android closes the closes the door.

You walk through the holographic police tape as you lock the police car. You walk into the house and are immediately greeted by another police officer "What information do we have right now sir?" You look at the officer as he looks through the notes "The corpse stayed inside most of the time, hardly anybody knew him." He looks at you as you stare at the rotting corpse "How long has he been lying there?" You question the officer "I'd say he's been there for a good three weeks. We'll know once the coroner gets here." You thank the officer for the information and go up to Connor "Connor, can you reenact the scene of how this man died? Could shed light on where the deviant is" Connor looks at you after scanning the knife in the kitchen "I have already found most of the information the group could not find detective. I will find out where the deviant went soon." You look at him, shocked, "wow, he's already solved most of this case by the time I was talking to that officer? I'm impressed" you pat Connor's shoulder and smile at him "Thank you Connor. Without you, this murder would've taken days to solve" you walk away and kneel down at the corpse and analyze his body "Disgusting...red ice all over him." You grow upset because this man was so stupid to waste his money on some drug that kills your insides until you turn insane "dammit, why do people think that this stuff isn't harming them?" You mumble angrily at yourself. You stand back up and walk into the bathroom "Let's see...what can I find in here?" You question as you rest your eyes on the shower curtain. You pull it back to find the seem to be like words "RA9" scribbled all over the tiles and a wooden carved statue on the bottom of the shower "Strange, very strange..." You pick up the statue and analyze it's body "Must be the RA9 like on the walls. I guess to deviants this is a god? I didn't know deviants would even have a religion." You place the statue back down and walk away from the bathroom. You meet up with Connor in living room "So, have you got your theory?" You look up at Connor and wait for a good theory to help the case "I think I've figured out what happened." He stares at you "Oh yeah? Hurry up and tell me then, we have a deviant on the loose." You both walk into the kitchen "It all started in the kitchen. I think the victim attacked the android with the bat." You nod "that lines up with the evidence. Continue please" Connor nods and looks at the knife "the android stabbed the victim." You can see the scene all happen like it was a cinematic movie playing in a cinema "So the android was defending itself...makes sense..." You look at Connor as he can also see the scene play out "The victim fled to the living room." You both walked into the living room again and stop near the corpse. You stare at the blood writing as Connor talks more and more about how the victim died "The android murdered the victim with the knife." You stare at the corpse and look back at Connor "That sill doesn't explain where the deviant could've went though" you begin to become impatient a little "we need to stop this deviant, it could hurt others if we don't. Jesus, why is Detroit so much more dangerous than C/N?" You think to you self nervously at the thought of how gruesome and eerie those case closed homicide files were. Connor brings you back to reality with his calm but alluring voice, grabbing all of your attention you had "It was damaged by the bat and lost some thirium." You give Connor a confused expression "Thirium?" You question him "You call it blue blood." You felt dumb for not knowing that after working on cases about deviants for 5 years without fail "Sorry, continue." You look away as Connor began talking again "It evaporates after a few hours and becomes invisible to the naked eye." You click your fingers and point at Connor while smiling "but I bet you can still see it!" You become excited after Connor confirms this "Thank god! If we didn't have Connor we would've failed this or wouldn't look hard enough!" You praise Connor in your mind for being such a great android "I'll scan for the thirium while you go try to find the deviant detective" you nod at Connor and walk off into the back room leading to the garden "We haven't checked here yet so may as well look. It's stupid not to in the first place." You look at the stains of a missing ladder on the dirty wall "The ladder is missing...the deviant used it to climb up on something?" You theorise a loud. To be safe you look behind the curtain in the back room and are met by falling brooms "Jesus, that gave me a fright..." You feel relieved that no one saw the badass detective get easily jumpscared by stupid brooms. You look back at the ladder stain "If the deviant used a ladder they wouldn't have left the front door at all and neither the back door because someone would've seen them on the roof..." You you look up to the see the latch to the attic "Connor! I think I know where they are!" You call out to Connor and he immediately runs to you and looks up "They never left" you whisper to Connor as you go closer to the latch. You grab your gun "Connor, stay behind me. You don't have the gun." Connor nods and does as he is told as you break the latch open and climb up into the attic. You sneak around with Connor beside you as you see something move in the back. You signal connor to be prepared and he only nods to reassure you that he has got the message. You look back to the area and slowly walk towards the boxes in the front corner of the attic. The deviant consumed in human blood and thirium runs towards you and immediately stops. Connor motions to go for the deviant but you signal him to stop as you put your gun away. Connor nods and stands behind you, prepared to a track if anything goes wrong "It's gonna be ok now. We understand why you did it and we want to help you" you step closer to the deviant "P-please! It was only self defense!" You shush him gently and holds his hands "We are only gonna ask some questions, that's all. You have nothing to worry about. You can trust me." You gently smile to the deviant as he starts to calm down quickly "O-ok, I trust you."

Mission complete.
