New detective (Connor x Reader)

LITTLE BREAK - CHAPTER 4

You yawned and looked at your clock. It read '23:30' you sighed and went back to finishing your essay on the case "I hate this part of these cases" you whispered sleepily as you looked up to see no one else in the office but you-"wait, is that Connor?" You thought to yourself "hello detective, may I take you home?" The android could clearly see your desperate attempts of staying awake with three empty cups of coffee, recently just dranked, in the bin "C-Connor I need to finish this essay, sorry" you slowly got backed to your work and nearly passed out at the sight of the dark office finally being acknowledged at your sight. Connor immediately picked you up and carried you outside the station bridal style "I'll finish the essay detective, you need rest for tomorrow." You didn't protest, instead you cuddled up against his body and rested your head on his chest and he carried you home "T-Thank you Connor" you passed put before he could say anything to you.

You woke up at your 6:30 alarm and turned it off "W-what happened last night?" You asked yourself sleepily as you opened your eyes to see Connor cuddling you as well as staring at you "C-Connor?! What are y-you doing?" This surely did wake you up, you've never had a man in your life so this was all very new "Your body temperature was going down because of the walk so I stayed here to heat you up." His calm voice was so music like that you could fall asleep again in Connor's arms "Am I developing feelings for an android? No, that's just weird!" You look at Connor "Well, he wouldn't feel the same for me anyway" you doubted in your head as you stroked his hair "t-thank you for doing that Connor" you smiled gently and he smiled back "God, that smile just shot through my heart! How can CyberLife make an android so handsome?!" You shouted in your head as you got out of bed with Connor "I'll go make breakfast while you get changed Y/N" Connor calmly looked at you while speaking as he walked out of the room "O-ok, see you in the kitchen" you replied while getting changed into fresh clothing. After finishing your hair you went into the kitchen to meet the smell of toast/bacon "w-wow that smells amazing Connor" you smiled at him while grabbing a plate "Everybody needs a man who can cook" you thought of that quote and giggled silently. You sat down with your plate of bacon/toast and began eating your breakfast "so, any cases today?" Connor shook his head at your question "No, today will just be a break for you and I detective. I also finished the essay and sent it back to CyberLife to say I have completed our case" the way he said 'our' made your heart skip a beat "I've never had a partner with my cases before, I was always doing it solo" you looked at Connor, he was intrigued on your story "Well, I did have a partner in the first year but I wasn't quick enough to save them..." You looked down at the table, trying to forget the memory of your partner screaming for you to help them, you were just caring about the mission. You hid your tears as you inhaled and exhaled deeply for 5 minutes until smiling at Connor again "sorry, that was too depressing" you joked but Connor only looked at you with guilt in his eyes "I'm sorry that happened to you Y/N" he held your hand gently but firmly, you blushed at this movement, you looked into his eyes deeply "t-thank you, Connor, I needed that."
