Calum.

Calum Hood was right next to his sister.

I was hoping he wouldn't see me. I didn't want him to see me. Not like this, no. I bolted for the door, grabbed Tori as I was running, we almost made it too but I tripped over my own feet. Someone helped me up, I thought it was Tori. It wasn't.

When I looked up, it was Calum. "Shit" I mumbled to myself. I didn't want Calum to see my ugly thighs. All the marks on them, he didn't need to know, not now at least.

He smiled when he looked at me. But then stopped as he looked down. He looked back at me worried. I started to walk away with Tori. He stopped me, and turned me back around. "Jess. How did you get those?" I looked him and started crying, right there in the middle of the mall. Tori gave Calum a dirty look and walked away with me. We went straight to the car. I didn't want to be in public anymore. About 10 minutes into the ride I got a text it was Calum.

Calum: Please Jess. Tell me. I'll help you.

I didn't reply. Why did he care anyway? It's not like we were dating. He doesn't have to care. He shouldn't care. But he seems like he does. Why?

A few hours later, while we were eating dinner, at Tori's house Calum called me. I would've taken it, I wanted to talk to him,he needed to know, I don't know why but I felt like he needed to now. Tori's parents have this thing with phones being at the dinner, they say is disrespectful. I quickly ate, after I was done I checked my phone.

5 missed texts

All from Calum. I read the texts first

Calum: Jess.. Please pick up.

Calum: Please I just want to help you.

Calum: Please answer.

Calum: PLEASE

Calum: I guess just text or call me back.. Please Jess.

I texted him saying I was eating and wasn't allowed my phone at the table. I told him I would call. But he said he said he wanted to Skype. I asked Tori if she was okay with it, in case she made plans for us tonight. She hadn't. She left me in my 'room'.
