"Yeah of course Jess" I turned to face him, he looked very handsome with the moon on his face coming in from the window. "Why didn't you try anything with me?" I felt stupid after asking that question. "You know what, just forget I asked that. It was weird and uncalled for" I said really fast and then turned away from Calum.
He turned me back around so I was facing him again. "Honestly, I've seen you around school and I thought you were beautiful, but I never had the courage to talk to you because I was nervous you would reject me" after he said that I burst into laughter. He gave me a weird look. "Why would you think that!?" He just shrugged.
I looked at his clock on his bedside table. 1:20 am. "I should probably go to bed since I have to meet Tori for lunch" he nodded and said goodnight to me, just as he was about to turn over and sleep I did something I've never had the guts to do to anyone before.
I kissed him.
It was a short and sweet kiss. When I pulled away, I cuddled into Calum and fell asleep.
*next day*
When I woke up Calum wasn't in the bed. I smelt something yummy cooking in the kitchen. I went into the kitchen, not even bothering to look in a mirror and see how hideous I looked. Calum was cooking pancakes and bacon. "You want me to help?" I asked him. He looked back and me and smiled, motioned me to come towards him. I did. He kissed me on the forehead. "Good morning lovely. Go sit down I'm cooking for us" I did as he told me.
After breakfast it was about 9:30 and I still needed to go home and get ready for lunch with Tori. "Will you bring me to Tori's? I have to get ready for our lunch date." Tori and I always called our plans dates, it our thing.
He took to me to Tori's and even opened the door for me when we got there. I gave him a hug and a quick peck goodbye. I went into the house to go get ready with Tori.
As soon as I walked in her room Tori ran towards me and shut the door. "So did you guys.. Ya know!?" My eyes widened. "No! But he did tell me he likes me! Booh he even made me breakfast!" "Wait he didn't kick you right out after he saw how rachet you look in the morning!?" She was joking of course, another one of our things. Picking on each other.
I started to get ready. I put on yellow jeans that we slightly ripped on the knees, and a black Nirvana muscle shirt. I slightly curled my lavender color hair and put my grey beanie on. I put my makeup, and was ready to go.
Tori and I went down stairs and right before we were about to leave, Tori's parents stopped us. "Jessica why are you wearing pants? It's 90 degrees outside. You'll get heart stroke." Her mom told me. Tori knew why I always wore pants but her parents didn't, and we weren't about to tell them. "She just doesn't like shorts." Tori lied for me. " Well we don't want her to have to go to the hospital because she was too hot. Go out shorts on, Jess." I went upstairs and borrowed a pair of Tori's shorts. They weren't very long and I could see the cuts up and down my legs. I couldn't go downstairs and let Tori's parents see them. I ran down the stairs and out the door before her parents could stop me again. Tori was already waiting in the car for me and as soon as I got in and was buckled up, we drove away.
