Once upon a time, in the small kingdom of Altea, there lived a Prince Named Keith Kogane. Keith was very handsome, but he was a selfish, cruel, and bitter young man.
One stormy night, there was a knock on his door. Keith opened the door to see an old poor woman. She told the Prince she was looking for shelter for the night, and for return, she offered a single rose.
Keith laughed at the woman and turned her away. The woman plead, but Keith kept turning her away.
The woman warned him about his selfishness, and turned into a beautiful enchantress.
Keith begged for forgiveness and tried to say he'll be more kind. The enchantress already gave him a chance and failed.
Because of the Prince's selfishness, the enchantress used her magic to place a curse on him and the castle.
The curse turned the Prince into a purple, hideous beast!
The rose was a symbol of the curse.
The enchantress then instructed that the way to break the curse was that he must learn to love before the last rose petal falls or he will remain a beast forever.
That led Keith to ask himself....
Who could ever learn to love a beast?
