(Tony's POV)

"A press conference," I repeat Steven's words monotone as I let the suggestion sink in.

"Yes. It's the most logical and easy option we have given the circumstances. Andrea has told people you hit her at the party and if you don't say anything everyone will assume it's true. We will invite all the reporters assigned to this story to the press conference, they'll ask you some tough questions, but you'll ultimately want to dispel Andrea's rumors," he says in almost one breath.

After my Halloween party last night news about the accident between me, Kendal, and Andrea spread like wildfire. Andrea claims that I hit her when really Jasmine did. After last night I found out how much of a bitch she really is and I'm so glad I didn't continue our relationship a few months ago.

Not only am I angry at Andrea for these rumors, but I'm angry that she dragged Kendal into all of her drama. I only want the best for Kendal, and the last thing she'll want is to be laced in a scandal.

"Okay. Fine. When should we do it?" I ask, sitting back in my desk chair.

"The sooner the better. I was thinking tomorrow morning," he answers. His expression turns sorrowful as he sighs. "You know, Tony, after your father's alleged cheating and now this the press is going to be all over your ass."

I nod in agreement. "I know, Steven. But I can handle it. You just do your job."

He gives me a small smile and walks out of my office. As soon as the door closes, I groan and rub my face in frustration.

I couldn't have any worse luck starting in this business. My father is a constant burden on my shoulders, becoming heavier with each passing day. And now an old flame is coming back to haunt me? Shoot me now.

My only escape from all this shit is Kendal. But I don't know if she even wants to speak to me right now. I drag her across the country with promises of success and fame, and I've so far failed to deliver either. I need to find a way to make it up to her. And fast.

(Kendal's POV)

I couldn't sleep all night because of stupid Tony and his stupid attractive face and the stupid things he said at that stupid Halloween party.

"I'll make sure she or anyone else never touches you like that again."

I fall onto my bed and moan into my pillow. He really is ridiculous.

Does what happened yesterday mean anything? Or did the maid costume just rowel him up a little bit?

Either way I can't deny how much I actually want him. Even when I was with Bryton a part of me wanted to be with Tony. But let's be real, he's my boss. The golden rule is to never date people from work. Especially if there's no potential for the relationship.

Realistically, Tony and I have never taken the necessary time to actually sit down and get to know each other. All we're really riding in now is an extreme physical attraction for each other.

But that's enough to get the show on the road, right?

I shake my head and mentally slap myself. Get a hold of yourself, Kendal, you're sounding thirsty.

But I am! For Tony!

"Arggg," I groan and flip over to my back.

A second later the doorbell rings. I sigh and trudge downstairs. The girls are out shopping so it's just me in the house. I open the door.
