            ~Ashton Irwin: Interrogation Five~

            "Where were you at nine A.M. on August 20th, 2008?"

            "Just getting out of bed."

            "Was anyone with you?"

            "In bed? Unfortunately not."

            "Were your parents home?"

            "Were my parents ever home?"

            "Answer the question, Mr. Irwin."

            "No. Never."

            "I understand you were in a serious relationship with Miss. Baker at the time, correct?"

            "Yes."

            "Tell me about her."

            "Excuse me?"

            "If it was as serious as we've been told, why did it end?"

            "We were kids. What at the time was serious soon became irrelevant, and to someone like Emery Baker, I would always be irrelevant."

            "What did you do next?"

            "I stayed at home and did some chores until around noon when I went to pick up Emery for lunch at Chipotle."

            "Did you speak to anyone there?"

            "Two of Emery's friends, Luke and Britt, invited us to a party that night. I didn't know them very well at the time."

            "That's strange, that you didn't know your girlfriend's friends."

            "Okay, Emery and I weren't all into group dates."

            "And after lunch?"

            "We went back to Emery's house and hung out. I think she had been trying to work on an art project but I kept distracting her. After that, we went to the party and I met Luke and Britt. That's it. I drove Emery home and then went back to my house."

            "And you and Mrs. Baker broke up when?"

            "The next week. It wouldn't have lasted anyway."

            "Did you love her?"

            "I thought so."

            "No more questions."

            "Sleeping?"

            "Were you alone?"

            "What kind of question is that?"

            "Were you in bed with anyone?"

            "No, of course not."

            "Were your parents home?"

            "They were away for work, something about opening a new firm, I don't know."

            "You were in a relationship with Mr. Irwin at the time, were you not?"
