Y/N's POV:

I got out from my bed trying not to make any sound. This was the night I had to be free. My parents died in a car accident and ever since then I live at this orphanage that's called "Hopes for children". No one wanted to adopt me and I really don't know the reason but that's why I'm going away. I want to find a family that loves me and accepts me for who I am. It's enough of this orphanage thing for me.

I got my things in a backpack and slowly walked to the window. It wasn't that high since I was at the first floor. I jumped after making sure I will land successfully on the ground. And to my surprise my legs didn't even hurt a little. I started walking on the street with precaution for anything that could happen. I was ready scared since I was still a bit too young to walk on the streets at 1 AM.

After one or two seconds, I heard people yelling and some footsteps started approaching me. Then, a man came into my point of view and he looked... Well he looked a bit numb at first so I assumed he was drunk. "What are you doing here so late, young lady? Mind if you come with me?" I fastened my pace and at some point I started running. I didn't stop running but I started getting tired. I jumped over a fence. But not noticing I scratched my leg a little. I gasped in pain but I couldn't do anything about it since that drunk man was still following me. After 5 minutes I couldn't feel my legs anymore so I had a plan in mind.

I took all my last power to sprint behind a wall and then I transformed into my cat form as fast as I could. The man walked past me and didn't even notice that I was there. "Thank God" I thought and felt my eyes close.

~Next morning~

Mingrui's POV:

It's 10 AM so I was walking back from the studio for a little break. I turned the corner to hear some sounds. Animal ones. "Meow". The sound was so soft that I could barely hear it. I looked down to see a little kitten. "What happened little one" I said approaching her. The kitten backed away from fear probably. I noticed that she couldn't step on one of her back legs. "Are you hurt?" I asked extending my hand to pat the kitten. She had a necklace with the name "Y/N" written on it. So maybe she got lost.

She hesitantly came closer to me. My heart melted seeing this little creature hurt here. I couldn't leave her on the street. So I quickly thought about my options. 'Maybe the other boys from the dorm would like a little cat'. I gently took it in my hands and picked up my pace to the dorm.

As I arrived, I opened the door and called for Hanyu and the others.

"What's that?" Shuyang asked as I placed the cat on the floor. "Why did you bring a kitten here?" Hanyu started to get a little bit mad. But I comforted him. "This little creature is hurt, and I want to take care of it. Please? I'll be responsible enough to for it" I said concerned and nervous to hear they're answers. " But she has a necklace with a name on it. Maybe it has an owner" Zihao responded.

"Let's vote" Xinlong suggested. All the votes were for the cat to stay until we find her owner. "Yay" I exclaimed jumping up and down. I thanked the boys and went to the kitchen to grab some food for the kitten until I'll buy cat food.

I took a piece of ham and placed it on a small plate. The kitty smell it and started eating it. I stroke her head as she did that. She was so cute. I took a pillow and some blankets and did a house for it.

Y/N's POV:

A boy took me home from that street where I was. But I was scared he'll find out I'm not just a cat... I couldn't control my power all the times when I had to be a human or not so I never knew what will happen.

I placed myself on the bed he made for me. My leg was still hurting so I made my way to the boy from before. "Meow" I said catching his attention. He glanced down at me and remembered about the leg. "oh sorry I forgot about it..." He said making its way to a room that I assume it's the bathroom.

I felt my hands growing longer and my legs too. And before I knew I was human again. "No" I quietly said. I heard some footsteps and I saw that boy again. The bandages fell from his hands. "What are you doing here? Who are you?" He said almost screaming. "Where is the cat" he hurried to the couch.

"Hey calm down, let me explain" I said but I saw him tensing up much more. In my mind I tried to search for any excuse I could bring for this situation. "I... I am the cat" I said and his face became white. "What? But she was there and then you and.... How..." I know how confused that boy was and I showed him the necklace. "It has the same name... It's too weird to be a coincidence" he said. Then silence."I'm Mingrui" he said after I presented myself.

I took my time and explained everying to him until the present.

"Thank you that you saved me but I better go before I cause you more problems" I said walking to the door. "Wait. You can stay here. The boys will understand and we can help you find a family too" Mingrui spoke after grabbing my hand. "But it will be hard for you... Are you sure about this?" I asked feeling bad for his effort. "I'm really sure, just stay and you'll see it will be fine. I promise" he assured me.

I wasn't happier my whole life and all I could do is that I hugged him. "Thank you Mingrui! You are the best friend I could ask for".
