"You're awake" Mingxao greeted monotonously as he lit his cigarette. "Let me go you bastard" Luhan immediately growled as soon as his eyes opened, glaring daggers into the man infront of him.

"Bastard? Last time I remember, you killed our kind. Tortured us and enslaved us. Then you tell us that we're bastards?" Mingxao scoffed as he stood up from his seat.

Slowly, he took his time as he encircled the Vampire's leader. Now in his hands, in his disposal. "Clearly you're wrong" Luhan laughed dryly as he read Mingxao's thoughts.

"I'll give you a chance to live, you gave me my memories, now let me go and I'll spare your life." Luhan commanded, his head raised up high as Mingxao stopped and stared him back squarely in the eyes.

"Yes, I returned your memories- now, I'm going to take them back" He smirked and stood back, leaving Luhan unable to hide the shock in his face.

"Let me go!" Luhan screamed through his gritted teeth, trying to escape the chains, using his powers to no avail.

Mingxao saw the frustration in Luhan's eyes and laughed. "What do you expect? The chains will easily fall off because you're all so mighty? I was not the best in science and technology for no reason. The walls won't let your power escape, much more break those chains."

Mingxao smirked triumphantly, enjoying the rage coming from Luhan. "Now, let's enter that brain of yours and remove some selected memories, shall we?"

Eunsook woke up sweating and startled. An unsettling feeling washed over her as her mouth went dry in fear.

She felt as if she was dying as she laid asleep, as if something was being taken away from her.

Running her hands through her hair, her palms sticky and sweaty, she took in long, deep breaths, calming herself.

Maybe it was just fear or worry. Or maybe something else completely.

The door to her bedroom suddenly opened as a figure she knew well entered.

"I didn't expect you to be awake. I- Eunsook, are you okay?"

A worried voice immediately filled the silence in the room as hands wrapped around her, holding her tightly afraid she may disappear.

"No. No, I'm not okay" she answered back, tears filling her eyes for a reason she doesn't know.

"Don't worry" he whispered gently, gazing at her with worried eyes as he rocked her back and forth. Back and forth.

The familiar silence came again, nothing but the sound of the howling wind of the night and their breaths. Hers, hard and heavy, his, quiet and reassuring.

"Get some rest" He suggested, already helping her lay back down even before she could protest. "I won't be able to sleep. I can't" she spoke, scared and vulnerable.

"Rest, I'll be here" he smiled softly and slowly moved to lay down beside her and embraced her. Her head rested right above his chest, rising and falling in a continuous rhythm.

Eunsook closed his eyes, trusting him. She listened to him breathe, it suddenly turning into a lullaby. Her eyes grew heavier and heavier and when she opened her eyes again, blood was everywhere.

And he was there.

In the very center of the pool of blood laid Luhan.

She screamed. A blood curling scream as bolted awake once again to find that it was morning.

And that Chen laid dead right beside her.

Her eyes immediately widened in shock as she saw the continuous pool of blood seeping through the white covers of her bed.

"God, god god" she panicked, hands shakimg as she screamed for help.

Yet no one answered.

"Help!" She screamed once more and stood up and left the room.

But a dead body greeted her again. Junmyeon.

Blood rushed to her head quickly as her eyes darkened. She knew she was screaming and crying but she couldn't hear it. Hear herself or anything else. She felt numb and cold. She felt dead.

She shook him, once, twice. Yet, his eyes remained open staring into space with blood coming out from his mouth.

So she left him and tried to find others.

And when she did-

they were all dead.
