"Excuse me?" he asked her, not completely able to hear what she had said. 'Oh Gods she cursed in her mind as she realized her dumb mistake. "Nothing, sorry" she chuckled awkwardly and proceeded to look the other direction away from him. He did not completely trust her yet and this encounter made his suspicion grow even more.

"Say- who are you?" he asked her carefully. "I'm Eunsook" she replied, turning back to him and raising an eyebrow. Luhan licked his lips in frustration and raised his hand, gesturing- "No- I mean- Who really are you? Where you came from and all that. You can't just possibly be engaged to a vampire that easily especially when you're a human"

Eunsook scoffed and shook her head, this was definitely the Luhan she knew. "Minjun is a son of a wealthy trader, vampire of course, and we just happened to-" her mouth shook at the word, not wanting to say it "-we fell inlove. We dated for months then and when the time came I was going to be introduced to his parents, they rejected me. So, we just- ran away and he proposed and all that"

She finished, letting out a shaky sigh of relief, all the lies slowly starting to eat her up. "How about you?" she asked in return, hoping, hoping that he atleast remembered something or to just say that he was not dating that woman.

"Well- to start off, I've got an amnesia. I don't really remember anything. I woke up in this- big mansion and I escaped from there, I didn't really know why I did that but perhaps because I was- afraid. Waking up with no memories on an unfamiliar bed- what could possibly go worse. I haven't told Heeji about this- so try to keep it a secret" he smiled tightly, looking away from the woman infront of him and shoving both hands into his pockets.

"And I guess I ended up here"he nodded towards the shanty and I smiled back a little. "So- you and Heeji-" Eunsook hinted, praying he'd say- "No! Not at all. We're just good friends" he replied, cutting her off.

"Oh, okay" she smiled back, holding herself back from tackling him and revealing everything.

Luhan curtly nodded her way before turning around and entering the shanty back once again, leaving the poor girl confused. Something about the girl made him nervous- making him wonder if he somehow knew her.

"Hey" Heeji greeted him softly and moved towards him,  embracing him. Luhan relaxed and hugged her back, gently running his fingers though her hair. "Any news?" he asked her and she debated on telling him what she had actually found out.

She sighed and pulled away, looking him directly into his eyes. She wanted to tell him but she was afraid she'd loose him because of it. "Nothing" she smiled and turned around. "I- I got to go pay off some of our debts. I'll see you at dinner time" Luhan nodded and silently watched her leave.

The day passed by quickly, Luhan forgetting all his complaints of how girls hid so many secrets. It was finally time for them to eat dinner with their new acquaintances. The sun had just set over the horizon, warm colors exploding on the sky that Eunsook's hair reflected.

"I really like your hair"

"You gay or something?"

Eunsook snorted as Minjun shook his head quickly. "What? No! I mean- it just fits you perfectly" he defended that made Eunsook laugh a lot. "I was kidding" she joked and gave him a pat on the back. Minjun just sighed and shook his head, it was as if he was dealing with a baby. He still wasn't used to being this close with her and receiving a pat made him stiffen up a little bit.

"Let's head back to them. I heard dinner was going to be served."

Back at the shanty, Heeji tried to be a little more fancy tonight, serving a meal that they couldn't usually afford. "What's with all this?" Luhan asked as he saw the spread infront of them. "We have guests Luhan" she answered back, busy with the preparation but he shook his head and replied, "I think this is too much" he reasoned out but Heeji just shot him a glare. "Look- I've never had guests before in my entire life. Sure- I'm exaggerating but the guests whom I was force to welcome- you know it wasn't good."

Luhan sighed sadly. "Well then, they better not be hungry cause I'm eating all of that" he joked and sent a playful wink her way before continuing.

"And dinner is served." Heeji laughed happily as Luhan passed around the bowl of rice. Muttering their 'thank you's', the dining experience was much more fun and easy as oposed to what they had expected. It was all thanks to Heeji, they guess.

The girl new what stories to be shared around other people that kept the conversation going despite all the awkwardness that had happened earlier. For once, the small shanty seemed to be full of life, as contrast to its dull and sad usual vibe.

This was just a start, though, clearly not noticing the man that watched them silently outside their small window. Surveying and just about Minjun was to turn his head around to go and see- he was gone. Gone like he never existed.
