Prolouge

A year passed without him. We've sent out men to scout yet, to no avail.

I knock softly against the wooden door before pushing it open and entering the library. The smell of piled papers, books - old and new - and the coffee's sweet aroma.

Two men discuss quietly behind piles of documents placed neatly on the marble table. "Ehem.." I fake a cough to get their attention and they both look up to me- smiling.

"Goodmorning Eunsook" Junmyeon greets, his hair pulled to one side as he fixes his golden-rimmed glasses. Yifan smiles kindly at me as well and stands up to make another cup of coffee.

"You guys should really take a break" I comment as I sip the coffee. They laugh at each other and tell me that they had just finished. Eversince every misunderstanding between the human and vampires had been solved- everything became better.

The wall was destroyed and the humans were finally allowed to interact with the vampires - marry even. The place became more developed with tall buildings and wonderful estates for the humans as well. One person also was allowed to sit in the council and be a representative - Hakjin of course.

"So, how's your day so far?" Yifan inquires as he sips his own coffee. I shrug and reply, "Nothing much. Looked after Jongdae as usual and he's getting better. Yixing says that soon, he wil be able to finally open his eyes. Aside from that- normal day"

Both smiles at the good news about Chen's condition. We continue to chat over simple things. "Eunsook!" someone calls from downstairs and I gulp the last drop of my second cup of coffee. "That's my cue to leave" I smile at Yifan and Junmyeon and wave them goodbye.

At the kitchen, I see Kyungsoo doing his best to keep Chanyeol away from having an early taste. "Back off, bastard" Kyungsoo spat angrily but Chanyeol didn't retreat and instead reached even more.

"Hold up big ears" I joke and grab my own apron and help Kyungsoo pull Chanyeol out of the kitchen. I laugh as Chanyeol's figure sadly retreats - running up to Baekhyun's arms and crying about our 'mean' actions.

"Hey kyungsoo"

"Stop with the first name, call me Dyo"

"Nah, anyways Kyungsoo"

He sighs, giving up, and I imagine him rolling his eyes yet, he listens to me. "So, uh, I have the craziest idea in mind" He shoots me a look over the boiling pot of stew.

"Which is?" He asks and I stop cutting the vegetables and turn to him. "I'm leaving" I say sternly and my lips purses into a thin line - heart beating fast as I wait for his reaction. Yet, he seems to not pay any attention.

"Hey..." I ask softly and he turns to me now. "You're gonna look for him?" I nod slowly, pausing at the idea not until I hear him laugh. Kyungsoo laughs warmly and shakes his head.

"I won't stop you - I can't - 'cause you'll probably go anyways" My cheeks turn into a soft shade of pink as if caught by a mother. "Yet, the boys will probably argue. I'm alright with you going as long as you're with someone"

I smile at Kyungsoo's kindness and pick up my knife and start chopping away.

Every mouth in the dining room was left open upon seeing the beautiful spread infront of them. Minseok went in for the first taste and a moan slipped out of his mouth.

"Who cooked this?" He managed to speak out and Eunsook pointed towards Kyungsoo but the men only listened to man.

"Eunsook did"

She looked at Kyungsoo weirdly. My oh my, she didn't even do anything important or special, she just helped and by help - chopping vegetables, handing out the vegetables and taste testing.

That was it.

But apparently, for Kyungsoo, he thought of it as her being the one who really cooked. A big lie. Nonetheless, the men dived i - finishing the spread in less than thirty minutes.

"Goooooooooood, I'm full" Baekhyun says as he rubs his belly. I chuckle and eat the remaining food in my plate. The brothers start to talk amongst themsleves, chuckling about jokes that they made.

She continues to join in their laughter before meeting the eyes of a serious Kyungsoo. She breathes in and clears her throat, the others falling into silence and stares at her.

"Luhan, I'm going to find him"
