Virgil's POV

As soon as we reached the top of the stairs, just outside Deceit's room, Thomas began to clutch onto his chest in pain. I immediately noticed this and grew generally concerned for him.

"Thomas, i-is everything o-ok?" I asked, my eyes still a little watery but drying up.

"Not really. My heart really hurts and feels almost as if it's fading and I'm starting to feel drained of any emotion. That's why I didn't react as much as I should have when I found out the news of Patton's death" he explained.

"Oh no! It's even worse than I thought" I gasped.

"What is?" Thomas asked confused

"Thomas, with Patton...dead" I forced myself to choke back the tears when I said that word, "you are beginning to loose everything he represents. Morality, the inner child, emotions and the heart"

"Well what do we do?" Thomas asked, begginning to become anxious thanks to me.

"There's nothing we can do I'm afraid. Patton's dead and as much as I wish he was, he's not coming back" Once again, tears ran down my cheek. Usually when I cry, Patton is there to calm me down and wipe away my tears but now he's gone and there's no one here to help me anymore so I just had to continue to let the tears fall free with no moral support. Oh how I wished that he was still alive. How I wished that he could come back. But he can't.

"Virge, should we focus on the actual task at hand?" Thomas asked rudely.

"Right" I nodded as I knocked on Deceit's door. No reply. I knocked once more, this time with more force. Again, no reply.

"Move! Let me try" Thomas pushed me out of the way and banged on the door. "Open up you slimey snake!" He yelled. Still no reply. He then grabbed onto the grass handle and tried to force it open but it was locked. "Ugh stupid son of a b-"

"Thomas calm down!" I yelled, seeing how frustrated Thomas was getting. "If Patton was here, what would he say?"

"He's not here though is he?!? That's why I'm like this!" Thomas yelled and the mention of Patton being gone set off the water works again.

"Will you stop crying for once Virgil!?!" Thomas yelled at me.

"I'm sorry but the love of my life was just murdered by my jealous x-boyfriend! Don't you think I have the right to be upset!" I yelled through the tears. "Just because he's gone, it doesn't give you the right to act like this"

Suddenly, the anger that flickered through Thomas's eyes dissapeared. "You're right Virge. I'm sorry. I'm not sure what quite happened there"

"I-it's fine...I guess. L-let's just f-forget about it" I mumbled as Thomas nodded.

"Well since snake face won't answer and is being uncooperative, I guess we should probably head to the scene if the crime to see if we can find any clues. And who knows, maybe he's just having a nap or something. He'll probably answer later" Thomas suggested and I nodded.

"Yeah I s-suppose y-you're right"

"So, are you ready to go Virge?" Thomas asked. To be quite honest, I wasn't sure if I was ready to see the dead body of my crush again but I knew that I didn't really have another choice.

"I'm r-ready a-as I'll e-ever be I-I guess" I mumbled.

"Let's go then"
