☪Lydia's pov☪

I slowly climbed into the bus, groaning. No sleep was achieved last night, like none at all. I was too busy writing.

Jake yelled a hello towards me, I only grunted in response. "What's stuck up your butt?"

I glared at him for a moment, then a giggle erupted from my mouth. "I got no sleep last night. So I'm dead, I'm now a zombie."

Jake patted me on the back, "Hang in there trooper." He then smiled and his eyes lit up, "Hey! How about we all have a jam sesh? It'll get the spirits up and the creative juices flowing!" I smiled and nodded.

I waddled over to the fridge and grabbed a sour apple rockstar, hoping it will help me regain my human form. I heard the tab click followed by a hiss as the can opened, a moan of appreciation escapes my mouth as the smell wafts into my nose.

"You're moaning for me already? Love it." I glared over, seeing a boy with curly blonde hair, the drummer I think.

"I believe you are mistaken my good sir, for I am not moaning for you. I'm moaning for my dear love, rockstar." I don't even know why I felt the need to speak all formal but YOLO right?

Drummer boy wore a look of confusion before breaking into a dimpled smile, "Hi I'm Ashton, I'm the drummer from my band 5 sauce."

Now it was my turn to be confused, "5 sauce? Do you guys like dress up as different kinds of sauce or something?"

Ashton pouted, "Sadly no, we don't have enough members for that," I smiled and he continued, "5 sauce is the way we say the abbreviation for our band name, which is 5 Seconds of Summer."

I nodded, "That's clever. Um not to sound rude or anything but, why are you here?"

Ashton smiled again, he is quite the smiley chap. I think I'm going to call him Smiley from now on.

"I wanted to introduce myself since we will most likely be seeing a lot of each other during the tour."

That makes sense, "Nice to meet you Ashton, I'm Lydia." I gave him a smile.

••

After chatting with Ashton for a bit we parted ways, bus call was early because we had to get to the first venue early.

I snatched my plush blanket from my bunk and wrapped it around my shoulders, including my head which made me look like ET in that bike scene. Lovely.

I padded over to the front lounge and flopped onto the the guys' laps. A chorus of groans followed.

"What the hell Lydia?"

"Seriously?"

"Is this really necessary?"

That summed up a few of their responses oh except there were also a few colorful words as well. What meanies.

"It's necessary. I'm tired and my throats sore, so that means everyone has to suffer." Whenever I over use my voice it gets sore, naturally. Especially after a long night of song writing, but luckily after a few days of tour that usually stops.

Cam moved my legs aside and got up, "Peach or mint?" I grinned, Cam always makes me tea when my throat's sore, I never ask him. He just has the kindness to do it.

"Peach please, with-" Cam looked at me with a knowing look.

"Lots of honey I know." I smiled and thanked him.

I grabbed a Xbox controller and started playing Assassins Creed with the guys. It was going well until the bus screeched to a sudden stop, followed by sounds of a crash. I knew it wasn't our bus but it was so close that a look of fear was etched onto my face. My fear of crashes was coming into play.

Jake jumped up from the couch and ran to the front of the bus while Cam came and wrapped his arms around me in a protective manor.

I could over hear Jake talking to our bus driver, "What happened?" Our bus driver, Mike, was about to get out of the bus.

"The other bus collided with a car."
