Two days from now, a new Greenie will show up.

I've been working in the kitchens with the Cooks, and Frypan is starting to get used to me (notice that I said starting to). I eat and talk mainly to Newt and occasionally Jeff and Clint. But my social life is minimum. The most I ever talk to Newt is a few sentences, the Med-Jacks, a greeting and goodbye. Sometimes I ask questions or instruct the Cooks, but other than that, I'm quiet.

Ever since Alby said I can't be a Runner, my hunger and thirst to be one has gotten stronger. I get caught looking at the Maze more than I do cooking. Newt tries to convince me that it's not a good idea. Even Miho, that son of a bitch.

Anger has been building up in me for days and it's about to let loose. I need to do something. Scream, punch, kick, run, Runner- God damn it!

I sit up right in my hammock, my emotions keeping me awake. It's dark and everyone else is asleep. I can't go back to bed yet. I sit there for a while, trying to think of something to do.

Think, think, think. I look out to the Maze then around the Glade. I unconsciously pick myself up and start running around the edge of the Maze walls. My legs start burning and my lungs hurt from the cold air. My body is gaining stiches and I know I won't be able to complete the entire Glade, so I take a detour into the forest and down an unclear route that I know now as the way the Builders sometimes go to build my separate hut.

I haven't seen it in a while but when I do, I'm quite shocked. I never knew the Builders would manage to do something like this in such a short amount of time. The hut is extremely small, but I guess it's only meant for one person. The spare wood pile lies uselessly on the forest floor. Then I have an idea. I look around to see if anyone is watching and as quickly and quietly as I can go, I grab as much wood as I can and run into the depths of the forest.
