Jikook Texting FF
Jeongguk is given a random number from a girl he tried to pick up and ends up chatting with someone named Jimin.
Almost a week had passed and it was now a mere day before the big date. Jeongguk had taken Jimin on some small dates before then, out to lunch or dinner.
Jimin couldn't be more excited, he was excited to meet Jeongguk's friends and be able to bond with his own boyfriend even more.
Well, he could have been more excited, if it wasn't for his boyfriend ignoring his texts for the entirety of the day. It had been around 7 hours with no response. The silence had started around 8:30, maybe he was just busy.
Jimin distracted himself with reading his book and texting Taehyung.

Jimin: tae the last time he did this something really bad happened I don't want something like that to happen again
TaeTae🐯: just give him his space, it worked last time and if you guys don't come to the date it's no biggie we can always reschedule
Jimin: I guess you're right I'll just wait it out but I'm so worried what if something happened to him? I've already called him 4 times and texted him even more
TaeTae🐯: he'll answer when he's ready I'm not gonna lie I'm worried too but we have to just keep calm and believe in him I'm sure it's just something personal, he'll share it with you eventually
Jimin: I hope so should I post a selfie on snapchat? it worked last time to get his attention
TaeTae🐯: you can try it never hurts to try

Jimin: he started typing and then didn't say anything it's been 5 minutes
TaeTae🐯: maybe he's just typing out something really long like 'please forgive me park jimin for not answering you all day I was distracted by my love for you' and it just goes on for like 3 paragraphs
Jimin: maybe you're right I'll wait and see then
Jimin put down his phone and picked up his book. He was going to try and ignore his phone for a little while and see if Jeongguk would contact him in any way.
By the time Jimin finished reading his book, three hours had passed. He felt like that was more than enough time for Jeongguk to respond, either to his messages or on snapchat. He was wrong.
He flipped over his phone and saw not one notification covering the screen. His heart dropped.

Jimin: it's been 3 hours and nothing do I keep waiting? he still hasn't read any of my texts
TaeTae🐯: I'm sorry jimin I guess all you can do is wait
Jimin: I'll make dinner to distract myself if he still hasn't responded by tonight I'm not sure what I'm going to do
TaeTae🐯: just eat you're stressing yourself out
Jimin: I'll text you later?
TaeTae🐯: I'm always here chim
Jimin set down his phone once again and grabbed a few pans from the kitchen cupboard. He started making his best dish, the family recipe spaghetti.
Halfway through boiling the pasta it began to downpour outside. Jimin quickly went to shut all of the windows in the apartment, making sure to seal them tightly.
Bright flashes of lightning and loud cracks of thunder made the building shake. As Jimin finished up cooking there came a knock at the door.

Jimin: tae someone knocked at the door do you think it's him?
TaeTae🐯: well whoever it is you better answer quickly because the storm is only getting worse
Jimin: alright I'll text you in a bit
Jimin walked over to the door, nervous to see who it was. He pulled open the door and was met with a gust of wind and harsh rain.
He was able to open his eyes enough to see a drenched Jeongguk, shivering from the cold and staring at the ground.
Jeongguk looked up at the sound of the door opening. His eyes were puffy and red and his tears matched the rain falling down his face.
Jimin offered for him to come inside but Jeongguk just shook his head, opening his mouth and then closing it again when nothing came out.
A few seconds passed.
Just as another crack of thunder echoed through the sky Jeongguk was able to spit out,
"I'm...I'm breaking up with you."
Before Jimin even had a chance to respond Jeongguk had turned around, flipped his hood over his head and disappeared through the wall of pouring rain.
Jimin stood as still as a statue, mouth agape and tears quickly spilling over the edge of his eyes as the rain poured down in front of him.
