I wake up to my alarm ringing in my ears. I groan as I turn it off, and lay in bed for an extra second to wake up. Why must I wake up so early?! ㅠㅡㅠ

Groggy, I pull myself off my bed, and proceed downstairs to my kitchen where I make myself some toast with tomato and cheese, and sit at the kitchen table to eat it. I finish, and place my dishes in the sink, so that I can wash them later after school. I proceed back upstairs where I wash my face, get changed, and get my school supplies together. I run down the stairs, put my shoes on, and grab my keys as I run out the door. I took too long to get ready and might miss the bus, so I run to the stop, to catch it just on time.

I spot my friend and sit with her, panting and trying to catch my breath.
"Didn't you get my text?" My best friend, Sujin asks me. I look at her confused, and grab my phone out of my bag only to see a message and a missed call from her. I look at her sheepishly and she laughs at me. "You have to stop being so slow at getting ready!" She chuckles at me. "Yes mom!!" I salute to her as I laugh back. The rest of the ride we chat, until we arrive at school. We have different classes so we separate, waiting until lunch so we can hang out together.

My first period of the day is math and I absolutely D E S P I S E math !! Like from the bottom of my heart <3 ANYWAYS, I take down what notes I need to, but I spend most of that class doodling on my sheet because I prefer art exponentially more than I do math, simply because I HATE it, and my teacher is the most annoying person! Plus, who likes math first thing on a Monday morning because I don't :(
Not paying attention, my teacher reaches my desk to check my homework from the weekend, and it suddenly feels as if the whole class is listening to if I completed it or not. "Well? Hyerin, did you complete the homework I assigned for the weekend?" She asks, her clipboard of checkmarks and exes haunting me. "Uhm, no miss, actually I was busy with a family outing this weekend and I didn't have one to complete it.." That was a lie because I didn't have an outing but I needed an excuse to make it seem like I'm less of a poor student! She assigns so much work every day and I barely like the subject as it is! I look nervously around the room and catch eyes with the smartest and one of the most popular kids at school - Choi Chanhee, or as his friends call him, New. I'm not sure why, but he has a group of friends who are all popular at my school, though I don't see why, and some of them have weird nicknames. - we lock eyes for a second before he looks back at his work. "I see, you need to do your homework in order to improve, and when you improve you'll succeed. So make sure you complete that for tomorrow's check." My teacher says as she draws an 'X' in today's box and moves on. The bell for the end of class rang and and I let out a deep sigh, as I grab my things and proceed to my favourite class, art!

The period goes by very fast, and I can't help but admire Kevin, one of the boys in the popular group of 12, as his painting is so beautiful. I'm not sure how he manages to paint so well, but it's eye catching. I break my eyesight off of his art, focus on my own painting, and I cheerfully do that until the period finishes. The bell had rung but I stayed a few minutes behind to do a bit of touch ups on the painting until I was happy. I started to clean up when I noticed it was only Kevin and I left in the room. I left my painting out to dry and placed my brushes away, and started to grab my bag, before I left I decided to tell him that I liked his painting. I turn to look at him, and I'm not even sure he's paying attention to his surroundings and it makes me giggle. He breaks his focus, and looks at me. "Is the period over?" He asks, startled. I chuckle and reply to him. "Yeah, it did a few minutes ago." He looks back at his painting. "Oh, thanks." He says. I stare at him for a moment. "You're welcome, and by the way, I really love your painting, it's beautiful." I say as I leave.

His eyes followed me as I left the room.
