After a fun day of playing manhunt with Hyerin, I decide it's a good idea to introduce her to the rest of my friends during the dance. Kevin and New agree, so we bring her. She looks so cute introducing herself to everyone and trying to remember everyone's names. The teacher starts to play music, and I guess Hyerin likes this song, because she excitedly starts singing, kind of like a puppy that barks when it's owner comes home. I can't help but watch her as she's smiling and having a good time. She's singing away when her friend I've seen her with tells her something. She looks back at us quickly before following her friend outside. I can't help but watch them through the glass as they head to the dock a few feet away.
I watch them as they sit down together, staring out at the lake. After a while, Hyerin looks back here before turning to her friend. I can't see or hear what they're saying but they're having a conversation. After a bit of talking, her friend gets up to leave, but Hyerin grabs onto her pant leg, seemingly trying to keep her friend from walking away. Her friend kicks her arm off and I almost get up to go intervene. The friend walks back here to dance with some other students, and I see Hyerin on the dock still. She's looking at the lake and the sky, before shaking. Is she crying? I'm not sure what's going on, but she does it for a while before getting up and heading towards the cabin area.
I'm not sure what happened but it's bothering me, so I go up to her friend. She looks a bit surprised that I'm talking to her. "Can you talk with me for a bit?" I ask her. She smiles a bit and nods, before following me outside. Once outside I look at her straight in the eyes. "What were you talking to Hyerin about?" I ask her. She scoffs and rolls her eyes at me. "Really? You're asking me about that pathetic girl?" She asks. Hearing her say that as her friend really starts getting me angry. "What did you say?" I ask again, slightly annoyed. "I told her we're not friends anymore. Why would I want to be friends with an attention seeking hoe?" She says. I almost lose it at her. "How can you be like that to her? Does friendship not matter to you?!" I say. She laughs. "There is no friendship with her. Not when she has something I want." She laughs, before turning on her heel and going back to the mess hall.
I can't help but get pissed off at what she said, and I take out my frustration on the wall in front of me, and end up making my knuckles bleed. I head back upstairs and tell the boys I'll be going back to the cabin because I'm not feeling well. They all nod and I leave the hall. I practically run back to the cabin where I find Hyerin laying on her bed, tears on her cheeks. She jolts at me opening the door and looks at me, eyes welling up. "Sit." I tell her. She sits up, and I sit next to her, taking her once again into my arms, letting her cry. I stroke her head gently until she calms down. She goes to tell me what happened, but I already know, so I lay her back down on her bunk. I wipe her cheeks softly, and stand up.
"Good night." I tell her. She hums in response and I quietly leave the cabin to treat my hand.
