when we got to my apartment i had finally stopped crying. dani asked for some water so i told him he could come in. i then saw a note on the fridge that read "hey rose, jack and i are going to visit his family for a week. i will be back in 7 days! -ilana"
"aww c'mon!" i said loudly. dani looked at me with a confused look. i showed him the note.
"if you want, i can stay with you, i don't want you to be alone right now. not when you're crying."
"really?" i asked
dani's p.o.v
"yup! and hey, i'm sorry for ignoring you! i was just jealous that jacob got your number but you two seem good together!" i told her. it hurt me to say that, but i just want her to be happy. thats all. i noticed her smile became a little weak but i brushed it off thinking it was nothing. we ended up heading to my house so i could get clothes and all of my stuff that i will need. she stayed in the car because she was still crying just a little and she didn't want the boys to see her like this. however, i still don't know why she's so sad.
rose's p.o.v
when we got back, we watched a movie. then, my phone buzzed. dani picked it up and looked at it because asked him to. i was too comfortable to move.
"umm rose, you might want to see this." dani says. i go closer to dani so we're right next to each other. i looked at my phone to find this: (text)

i start to cry.
"he ditched you?"dani asked. i nodded.
"how dare him! i swear the next time i see that man i'm gonna kill him! how could anyone do that to you? he better watch out!" dani half yelled. he then embraced me into a hug. i was too sad to move. i just sat there putting my head on his chest. i felt so safe in his hug.
we went back to watching the movie except dani still had one arm around me and i now had my head of his shoulder.
dani's p.o.v
rose eventually stopped crying and fell asleep. i picked her up and started walking to her room. i was about to put her in her bed when she woke up and looked into my eyes. i could feel myself blushing.
"i have a couch in my room. you can sleep in my bed. i'll sleep on the couch." she said as i sat her down on her bed. i protested but she wouldn't give in. i finally gave up and layed in her bad facing the opposition direction of her. i turn around to look at her. she was sleeping on the couch and looked so cute. i couldn't help but smile.
*morning*
rose's p.o.v
i woke up on the couch. my back hurt really bad. i sit up only to find it hurting even more. "ouch!" i half yelled. next thing i know dani opened his eyes and sat up facing me. "you okay?" he asked. "not really, my back is killing me from sleeping on the couch." i told him.
dani's p.o.v
i feel so bad! i slept in her bed and now she has a sore back! i am not letting her sleep on that couch tonight. i looked at her and saw her in pain. i got out of bed, went over to the couch and picked her up. i put her in her bed and put the covers over her because she was cold. i then went to the kitchen to get Advil for her back. i came back with a glass of water and the Advil and gave it to her. "how bout we watch movies today" i asked her. she agreed and i turned on The Kissing Booth. i wrapped my arm around her and she put her head on my chest.
rose's p.o.v
dani is so sweet. i felt safe in his arms. i kept glancing at him because i couldn't resist. as i went to glance at him again, he was looked at me. we made eye contact and i felt butterflies in my stomach. "hi" he laughs. i smile and i soon realize that he starts leaning in. i lean in to. i had butterflies in my stomach again. but, for some reason i didn't feel ready. i don't really know why, so i pulled away and looked down. i got out of bed and ran out of my room. i ran to ilana's room and locked the door behind me. my back didn't hurt anymore but i don't care right now.
