Nowhere Boys (Felix Ferne fanfiction)

Chapter 2

Molly’s P.O.V.

I started walking with Sam and Jake, I wasn’t gonna walk with Felix just in case things got awkward and Andy was lagging behind. “C’mon nerds hurry up!” Jake called, “wait stop” Felix said. We stopped and walked down to Andy who was sitting on the grass “you know this is a 7k stroll not a 5 day trek” Jake yelled, “in my family, this is packing light” Andy replied as Sam started emptying out his bag. I picked up a bag that looked like it had some feral meat in it “eww what is this?!” I asked, “chicken’s feet” he replied. I dropped it immediately, “dude what is wrong with you!? That’s disgusting!” Sam said. After we emptied out some contents from Andy’s backpack we continued on.

“I found a shortcut!” Felix yelled. “Good one Dracula, lead the way” Jake smiled. We all followed after Felix, “shouldn’t we stay on course. What happens if we get lost?” I asked. “we wont get lost!” Felix replied looking annoyed. As soon as he said that there was a gust of wind that took the map right out of his hand, Felix tried to reach out for it but lost his balance and tumbled down the cliff along with the other 3 boys. I heard a thud at the bottom and freaked out. OMG are they dead!? “Owwww” I heard Sam, nope definitely not dead! But now I’m up here all by myself, I can’t possibly go down this cliff, it looks steep and it’s gonna mess up my outfit. Oh I’m gonna regret this, I thought and jumped down the cliff and landed on my back. “Oh my gosh are you okay??” Jake asked me. “Yeah fine, where are we?” I asked. “Where’s the map?” Felix asked looking around. “You lost the map!? You’re the map guy! You totally failed there dude” Sam said.

“Ummm what is that?” I pointed at some wind chimes hanging from the tree. “Someone’s here. Let’s just get out of here, this place gives me the creeps” Sam replied and we all agreed. “Bear Grylls would light a fire” Andy spoke. “Any idiot would light a fire” Jake said. I felt sorry for Andy, anything he said, the boys would always put him down for it. “Guys, the storm looks like its gonna come, lets find some shelter for the night” I said and we all huddled in a mini cave.

The storm started roaring. “How about some music. To you know, cheer us up” Felix said and took his phone and clicked on a song. It started playing “Water fire earth and air elements that we all share water wash our sins away earth guides us to a place wind brings with it fear flames of fire we must face walk upon this earth again.” That song sounds an awful lot like the one I heard this morning while I was getting dressed… “That was supposed to be cheerful?” Andy asked after it was finished. I started yawning and before I knew it I fell asleep.

*next morning*

I woke up to the sound of what I believe is metal scratching.. what the.. what is that noise!? I sat up immediately and looked around, Felix, Sam and Jake were asleep but Andy was up. We decided to walk around and see if there was any way to get outta this place when we saw something opening up from the sky.. it was a tornado! “Andy we need to get to the others now!” I yelled, we ran and woke up the boys and they soon realised there was a tornado chasing after us. “FASTER NERDS FASTER!” Jake yelled to Andy and Felix. We ran and ran and ran until we came across a guy with messy hair and wore some rags. We all screamed.

“Please don’t attack us!” Sam said holding up his hands like he was about to get arrested. “Wait, hang on, aren’t you attacking me?” he asked confused. “No, we’re just lost and hungry” I answered. Sam ran over to a frying pan with eggs and bacon on it and scoffed it down. Man he never stops eating! “Do you know how to get to Bremin?” I asked. “Better yet. I can take you there” he said. We all smiled and hopped into his car. I stood outside and realised there were only 4 seats available. “Wait, I can’t get in because there aren’t enough seats” I said. The boys looked at each other and said “Felix since you were the one who lost us the map and got us lost in the first place, you can have Molly sit on your lap” I blushed. Oh gosh. Felix shrugged his shoulders and I hopped onto his lap and he wrapped his arms around my waist. I think I’m melting inside, maybe this isn’t so bad after all? But unfortunately the trip back to Bremin only lasted about 10 minutes. We thanked Roland and walked into town. “that’s so weird. No one even seems to realise we’re back. Where are the tabloids and newspapers?” Sam asked. Typical Sam, I just wanted to go see Tammy and Mia and tell them about my crazy adventure with the boys.

“Well I’m gonna go guys, mum’s gonna be freaking out and I gotta call Tammy. Sam if you see Mia tell her to text me. She’s gonna wanna know everything from her BFF” I told him emphasizing the word BFF. I waved goodbye to the boys and walked off.

Felix’s P.O.V.

I waved goodbye to Molly. She was actually a pretty cool chick for someone who’s popular. I don’t know why but it feels I don’t know.. awesome when I’m around her. No. I can’t possibly think that, I don’t feel that way about girls. Well apart from Ellen, but Ellen’s my best friend and I sort of like her. And she’s gonna be so mad that I’ve ditched her at the excursion! The others walked off to their own life and I went home to see if the spell worked and if Oscar could walk again. You see the song I played in the forest was actually a spell to make my brother walk again, a few months ago my brother and I were climbing a tree and I was at the very top and kept encouraging him to climb a bit further so we could see the view together but he lost his footing and fell and was in a wheelchair. Ever since that moment everyone in my family treated me like shit and Oscar doesn’t deserve to be in a wheelchair, and it was my entire fault.

I walked up to the front porch and saw Oscar playing with some action figures “Hey Oscie how was your visit to the doctors?” I asked, “what doctor? Who are you?” Oscar replied. I stood there, frozen as I saw him stand up. “You can stand!” I exclaimed. “and I can walk too, one step, two steps” he said sarcastically. “Oscar that’s great!” I replied. “how do you know my name? who are you?” he asked again. It took me a while to process what he just said. Oscar doesn’t remember who I am, but he can walk again... that means the spell worked! But why can’t he remember me?
