Piper
I readied my dagger as Jason positioned himself . The women tilted her head before reaching up and removing her hood. Long ringlets of grey shimmered in the sun. Her eyes were watery. Her face showed years of age and damage. Her neck was strung with multiple beads and pouches. Whenever she moved they swung backward and forward making me nauseous.
"Who are you?"
"I am Peramora. I was the head priestess of the temple of Hecate in Lagina. Now I am last thing you will ever see." As she finished speaking she lunged at us. Her hands sparked with light and as she neared the sky darkened. She swung her arm at us.
"Dive!" Jason pushed me to the side as the lightening hit him square in the chest. The force pushed him back a few feet and seared his shirt, but he looked unharmed.
"Son of Zeus. Yes. I have seen your brethren in my days. Well I'll just have to kill you without magic." Two twin swords appeared. Though she may look old, Peramora was strong. She swung the sword and I ducked. Her necklaces swung forward, revealing a single jewel amongst them with twin torches crossing.
"Jason get her airborn!" I knew that Peramora was strong, but I had one hope. If she was a priestess of Hecate the jewel might give her the power. If I could only get it away. It was along shot, but I was willing to try anything.
He grabbed me and launched himself up into the air and, like I expected, she followed him. We flew high above the treetops and circled. Peramora cackled ad the wind swirled underneath her, keeping her elevated. Suddenly, Jason shot forward, gladius ready. Peramora paraded his blade with both of her own and as they struggled I leaned forward. I reached into the mess of beads and grabbed the jewel. Peramora stoped for a second before looking down.
"Foolish child. You think you can beat me. I have studied magic for thousands of years. I no longer need the jewel." She reached down and shook me off Jason before diving after. Jason stuck out his had and I slowed, but not enough. I hit the ground and rolled. I could feel almost every bone and muscle in my body protested when I hit the dirt. I heard the sound of blades on the dirt and tried to roll over. My body screamed and pain filled me. "Stop." My voice cracked, I knew some of my ribes were broken. Peramora stopped and turned. Rising out of the earth a few meters away was a boulder the size of a basketball. Peramora turned. "Daughter of Aphrodite, charmspeak. I can not kill you now. You were able to summon the stone, only a charm speaker with good intensions toward Hecate could." She sneered. "I can no longer have my fun, though I suggest you leave before I become bored." She lifted her hood and stalked into the woods.
Jason ran up to me a look of terror on his face. "Pipes are you ok." Before waiting for a reply he grabbed some ambrosia and nectar and gave me a little. I instantly felt better and slowly stood. My vision clouded over slightly and I felt light headed.
"I'm-I'm good." My voice shook and I could see Jason's doubt.
"Your really not Piper. You fell two stories at least even with my power you are seriously injured."
"I'm fine. Let's just-just get back to school." I stood up and started walking. The bones in my legs felt brittle, but they held. I grabbed my wings and positioned it. I started to prepare for takeoff when I felt a hand on my shoulder.
I turned slightly and was met with Jason's electric blue eyes. "Piper you really shouldn't fly. I'll summon Tempest or carry you or... something."
"Jason your not strong enough, besides you need to carry the rock. I also don't think flying a storm spirit will be any better. Let's just go."
He looked like he wanted to argue, but I took off. I shook slightly, but managed to bet going in the right direction. Jason soon joined me and kept very close the rock gripped in his hands.
"...With the power of the great enchantress..." I looked at Jason after reading it out loud. "What could it mean?"
"I don't know, but we will have to tell the others about this, and Peramora."
I nodded before fixing my attention on the horizon. After a few minutes we could see the school and I just got dizzier. We slowly descended and by the time we reached the treetops I could no longer see strait. The last thing I saw was Jason trying to grab me and felt a large blow to the back of my head.
