After another tyring day at the office, you stopped by your favorite chinese restaurant to grab some take out for dinner before going back to your apartment. When you finally arrived at the lobby, you ran towards the elevator that was about to close and go up.
"Hey! Hold the door please!" you shouted. "Thank you" you gasped for air and smiled widely when you saw him.
"Hi! Thank you, Sebastian" you said breathlessy and probably looking like a mess. He smirked before putting a lock of hair behind your ear.
"No problem, (Y/N)" silence filled the small space between you two before he spoke again.
"So what do you think about tomorrow night?" you looked at him puzzled.
"What?"
"Dinner. Tomorrow night? Maddie will stay with my parents the whole weekend so I thought it will be the perfect oportunity to go out. Just the two of us."
"Oh! Of course! Sounds perfect! Tomorrow night it is then." you smiled and the elevator door opened.
"After you" Sebastian offered, letting you pass by him.
When you entered your apartment, Bobby greeted you as always, barking and jumping on the couch. You smiled, putting your purse and dinner in the table to caress his belly.
"Can you believe I have a date tomorrow night, Bob?" you said and he barked, as if he could understand what you were saying. Maybe he could.
"I know right! C'mon let's have dinner" the puppy followed you to the kitchen.
When you least expected, it was Saturday night and you had no idea on what to wear on your date with Sebastian. It was summer, but in New York usually gets cold in the night so you decided to wear a gray dress, leather jacket and boots. You let your hair loose in waves. After doing your basic make up routine you were ready to go right before you heard Sebastian knocking on your door.
"Behave, Bobby. Don't eat my shoes okay? I'll be back home soon" he sat in from of you and barked one more time.
When you opened the door, Sebastian was there and you stopped breathing for a second at the sight of him. He was wearing dark jeans, a blue shirt that matched his eyes perfectly and a black coat. You considered yourself lucky to move in the building.
"You look beautiful, (Y/N)." he said, as a true gentleman. Your eyes met his piercing blue ones.
"You look great too" you smiled and he took your hand.
"Ready?"
Sebastian chose one of the bests restaurants in New York, it wasn't too fancy, it was perfect. The atmosphere was cozy and the dim light made it look like one of the old places you used to go when you were a kid. You both found the perfect spot at the back, next to the window with a breath taking view from the city. The candles in the table made it all look even more romantic and you felt a little nervous on how fast you were falling for this man seating in front of you. Not only because of his charm and good looks, but the way he treated you and the fact that he was more mature than every other men you dated before, there aren't many but still, Sebastian was a making his way to your heart pretty fast and there was nothing you could do.
"Do you liked here?" he asked you, interrupting your thoughts.
"Yes, it's perfect. Thank you for bringing me here." you smiled and he caressed your hand.
The food was great and you managed to keep the conversation flowing as you and Sebastian shared a bottle of wine.
"You know, I really thought you would say no when I asked you out" he confessed.
"Really? And why is that?" you chuckled.
"Well, I'm divorced with a daughter and didn't ask anyone on a date for more than a year. I think you would find it all too much to keep it up with" you shook your head.
"Hey, all I see is that you're kind and you love your daughter. I don't know what happened between you and your ex wife but that doesn't mean I wouldn't want to go out with you."
"That's great because I really wanted to since I first saw you" he leaned closer to you and gently brushed a strand of hair from your face.
You both decided to walk back to the building and enjoy the beautiful night. Sebastian kept telling you stories from his time in college, when Maddie was just a baby and he had no clue on what to do.
"It got easier with time and practice. I could change a diaper with my eyes closed"
"Oh really?! Of course I believe in you" you said and he laughed.
Sooner than you expected, both of you were in front of his apartment's door.
"Thank you for the dinner. I had fun tonight" you said and smiled, bitting your bottom lip.
"Me too, (Y/N). Do you think we could do it again soon?"
"Yes, definetely" you nodded and just stood there in front of him, you didn’t know exactly what to do.
What should be your next move? It was okay to kiss him? Because you really wanted to kiss him.
"Goodnight, (Y/N)" you felt your heart racing in your chest, still unsure on what to do next.
"Goodnight, Sebastian" you turned your back to leave when you felt his hand on yours, making your body turn back to him, your faces only inches from each other. He glanced over your lips and you could feel his warm breath against your skin. His right hand caressed your cheek as his lips finally met yours in a kiss. Your hands went to the back of his neck, bringing him closer to you, deepening the kiss as you let his tongue slide inside your mouth. You moaned when he tightned his grip around your waist and your back hit the door.
When you broke the kiss, both of you trying catch some air to your lungs, you looked at him, trying to find regret on his eyes but you didn't. Actually you found everything but regret.
"Would you like to stay for a while?" he asked before kissing you again.
"Yes" you nodded as he opened the door.
