Jason the toymaker x reader more than friends

chapter 6

1 day later

I was sitting on the desk next to Jason as he built his doll, I was hanging my legs off the desk and kept staring at his concentrated face. "Can I help you" his head didn't move but his green pupils were looking at me from the corner of his eyes. I just sat there and we kinda had a staring contest for a minute, my eyes started stinging resulting in my eyes watering and getting more irritated. I tried my hardest to keep my eyes open but they began twitching rapidly, Jason now turned his head and body my direction and just store me down. He didn't even look bothered it was like it hadn't even affected him, tears were now streaming down my rosy cheeks but I still refused to blink. It was barely noticeable but Jason's left eye slightly twitched and some reason I thought I won and I blinked. I realised that I lost and stuck my bottom lip out "dammit", Jason smiled and reached his hand out and rested it on my cheek and began wiping the tears away.

His hand gave off so much warmth that I couldn't help but lean into it, his eyes softened and we began leaning in. Our faces were only a few inches away, I could feel his warm breath hitting my face as we inched in closer. A quite melody could be heard I thought it was peaceful but it got louder as we got closer. I closed my eyes waiting for our lips to lock, I could feel his lips barely touching mine. They weren't even locked yet but I could feel the warmth and wetness of his lips, his lips were just leaning on mine waiting to grab onto them with his. The thumb from the hand that was on my face began lightly stroking my cheek, he closed his eyes and was about to roughly shove his lips on mine. But it never happened, we were interrupted by the doorbell ringing.

I opened my eyes to see Jason let out a sigh that tickled my face and he pulled away, he removed the hand that was on my cheek and he walked away to the huge blue door. 'That could have been my first kiss, what is wrong with you (y/n)!. You haven't even got to know him yet.' I was mentally screaming at myself but was soon cut out of my thoughts by a loud and raspy laugh, just hearing that laugh sent shivers down my spine in fear. I slowly crept behind Jason and put my hands on his hips, I felt him jolt and his body stiffen up. I popped my head out from the side and looked out the door, 'wtf' was my only thought as I saw a tall monochrome clown looking at me with his grey eyes. He had claws for hands and his arms were so long they were nearly touching the ground, he had a black and white cone nose and his hair was a notty black mess. He looked like he was wearing black lipstick but his smiled creeped me out, his teeth were so white but so pointy and sharp. He took a step forward and knelt down, he reached for something in his back pocket and pulled out a lolly pop. "Hey kiddo, have some candy", I felt Jason begin to shake I looked up and saw him gritting his teeth and his eyes glow green, he put his arm out in-front of me as in to protect me. "She doesn't want your poisonous candy, jack" Jason spat while glaring at the man called jack. Jack's smile grew as he took his attention off me and onto Jason, he slowly stood back up at his full height and looked down at Jason. "Someone's getting protective" jack cooed dragging out the tive in the protective, he looked back down at me and he said "I'm laughing jack also know as Lj or jack, nice to meet ya!. What's ya name kiddo" I tightened my grip on Jason's hips, he looked at me from the corner of his eyes and spoke for me. "That's (y/n), she's my doll and you are not to lay a hand on her. Understand" lj backed away, he had never seen his best friend so protective over a human girl.

Jack was about to speak but time seemed to slow down as a giant hammer collided with his side and his body went flying and hit the wall behind me and jason.  There stood a blue jester, his smile made him look like a little kid waiting for ice cream. 'So innocent but so scary' we heard a low grunt behind us and I turned around and saw an angry jack getting up holding his head. "What was that for!" He was pissed, the blue jester just responded happily and said "you took to long introducing yourself." I held in a giggle but I felt a pair of hand on my shoulders, I turned my head to see the jester checking me out while holding me still. "How did you get Jason to fall for you, a human of all things it's amazing!" Jason pulled me out of the jesters grip and Jason wrapped his arms around me, "I told you not to touch her" Jason's eyes started glowing greener then they already were. His grip tightened around me as his hands starting turning black up to his elbows. 'What is this guy?' I thought "Calm down man, I was just looking at how beautiful she is" he looked down and winked at me making me shudder, 'what a creep'. "The names candy pop but you can just call me candy, and I'll call you darling how about that?" He smiled thinking it was a good idea, I heard Jason and lj snort at how pathetic they thought the jester was being. "No thanks, (y/n) is fine. That is my name after all so don't name me anything I don't want to be named, how about that?" I felt Jason's chest vibrate, him and jack were laughing and candy's smile slowly faded and turned to a frown. "Careful she's a cocky one" jack chuckled as he stuck his clawed hand on my shoulder.

"Well we're gonna get going, we only came to check on you Jason, We will be back soon. Well it was nice meeting your lover, byeee" jack laughed out and it was clearly visible that Jason's eyebrow was twitching out of anger and annoyance. And with that jack walked out and pulled candy pop along with him, jack smiled and waved at me and they suddenly teleported away in a black cloud of smoke.

"Well that was strange" I spoke out loud. Jason let go of me, and I became sad I was already longing to have his arms wrap back around me I missed the warmth and the feeling of being safe. And the quiet melodies his music box let out when he touched me. He slammed the door shut and walked to the workshop leaving me standing there confused and alone.
