Mind Boggling Thoughts

Toms POV

I. Just. Kissed. Makayla.

My heads spinning as I approach my car from a day spend with the girls and unlock the door. I get in the drivers seat and and put on my seat belt before sinking into it and staring at the empty black ablis of road ahead of me. I need a moment to think.

I. Just. Kissed. Makayla.

The words continue to repeat in my head. Every moment, every second of the affair was rein-acted in my head over and over again.

But she still doesn't know.

I sigh and lean forward, burying my head in my hands.

But what about Ashley? We ended on such a weird note, we never really properly ended things, or did we? We never let our relationship have a chance to flourish , what if things could of- should have been more? What if -

I'm stopped in my mind boggling thoughts as I hear an alert tone coming from my phone. I picked it up and stared at the screen.

"New email from Marvel"

I leaned back in my seat, opened the mail app and clicked on their message.

"Dear Tom,

We would like to invite you to the Ace Comi-Con in Chicago in two weeks as we would love for you to take part in a panel interview followed by a meet and greet. We are highly aware this is quite short notice
but would be thrilled if you were able to take part.

Please let us know ASAP if you would be able to attend and we will forward you the information.

I sigh and rub my eyes. I really don't want to be doing this with all these thoughts racing round my head. I've been so distracted recently, and now it's going to be 10x worse.

I - we need to tell Makayla.

I've got to talk to Ashley about this. I turn my face back to my phone again and click on messages and select Ashley.

"Call me in an hour, we got to talk"

Almost in an instant I get a reply;

"Okay, will do"

I take a final deep breath before placing down my phone , turning on the engine, putting my hands on the steering wheel and driving off home.
