Toms POV
As Makayla pulls away from the hug with her friend , I'm shocked to see who it is . "Ashley?" I say , as she replies with "Tom?" sounding equally as taken back . "How did I never know this was you?" she says as I pulled her in for a tight hug. As I embraced her, the smell of her sent , the feeling of her hug, all brought back a rush of memories that I've - we've been trying to move on from.
Turning to Makayla , I see the look of confusion on her face . "You two know each other ...?" "Well , yes, actually.." I cut Ashley off from her sentence by blurting out "good friends! ... we were good friends, um , it's been a while." I cannot let Makayla know about mine and Ashley's past . I'm really beginning to like Makayla, and I don't want anything to ruin our relationship.
I offer to show the girls up to their room , and we make our way up the twirling staircase. As we reach the door , I wish them a good night . I wrap my arms around Makayla , filling me with sparks shooting round my stomach . As I pull away , I turn to Ashley and embrace her within a hug to , as we close off we both share a smile before she walks into the room with Makayla and closing the door. I stand there , both happy and annoyed . Happy about the feeling I got when I hugged Makayla , but annoyed at the fact I couldn't deny the small scraps of feelings that still laid inside me for Ashley. Why am I feeling like this ? Me and Ashley ended our relationship happily a long time ago , agreed to be friends and just friends . And all I want right now is Makayla. She stole my heart from the moment I saw her fumble down to the floor in a hilarious - beautiful- mess . I've got to make sure these little amount of feelings I've got left for Ashley doesn't destroy the HUGE amount of feelings I have for Makayla.
I take a final deep breath as I walk away from the door , heading towards my room.
