Ruffcup

Chapter One

Hiccup POV

Yet again, one thing led to another.

And now the twin's hut is destroyed.

So we're all in the clubhouse decided where to put them.

"We could just put them into the dragon pens." Astrid suggested.

"No, they'll stay in someone's hut for the night. " I told her.

I looked around at everyone hoping someone would volunteer.

"Ruffnut can stay in my hut!" Tuff exclaimed.

I just face palmed and didn't even bother.

Thankfully, Fishlegs explained.

"Oh, I forgot." Was all Tuff said.

"Oh!" Snotlout suddenly shouted.
"Tuff can stay in my hut, we can have a bro night!" He said, looking at Tuffnut.

Tuff's face lit up and he frantically nodded. 

"But what about Ruff?" Tuffnut questioned.

"She can, I don't know, stay with Astrid or something. " Snotlout said.

"No!" Astrid screamed.

I turned to Fishlegs with a hopeful look but he just shook his head.

I sighed.
"Fine, Ruff will stay in my hut until further notice.

Everyone let out a sigh of relief. 

Snotlout and Tuffnut rushed out of the hut and Astrid went to find Stormfly.

"Come on Ruff." I said, walking out of the clubhouse and towards my hut. I could hear her footsteps behind me as the sounds of Snotlout and Tuff in the distance faded away.

As I opened the door I heard her let out a yawn, I led her up to my bed and signalled to her to get in before walking down the steps again, Toothless close behind. 

"Wait,'' Ruff said, I turned to her with an eyebrow raised.

"This is your bed, shouldn't you be sleeping in it?"

"Ruff, it's fine, you have the bed, I've got Toothless." I said as I scratched his ear.

"It doesn't feel fair, I don't feel comfortable taking your bed from you." She said with a frown.

"Look, Ruff, I'm tired, just sleep in the bed and I'll be fine." I told her.

I sat down against Toothless and heard her climbing onto the bed. Closing my eyes in an attempt to sleep, I felt myself drift off, but was interrupted by Ruffnut's voice saying,

"Hiccup, can you come here a second,please?"

I sighed, but got up and walked up to her anyway.

"What do you want?" I said, rather harshly.

"I- Im," She paused.

"Yes?" I pushed.

"I'm scared." She practically shouted.

"Scared?" I questioned, "Scared of what?"

"The dark." She slouched.

I went and sat next to her, putting my arm around her I said,

"Surely not, you're Ruffnut!" I tried comforting her.

She shook her head and shrugged.

"Come on, lie down." I told her, motioning towards the bed.

She lay down and I did the same, just behind her.

It felt right to have her beside me, I put my arm around her waist and pulled her closer to me, smiling to myself.

"Thanks Hiccup." I heard her mutter quietly.

"No problem." I replied.

I remember relaxing and falling asleep.

Next thing I know, my hut door is wide open and Snotlout and Tuff were standing there snickering.

"Told you!" I heard one of them say.

I got up and walked over to them and said,

"I swear, if either of you wake her, I will remove your riding privileges." I saw Snotlouts expression drop and Tuff stopped laughing, before backing off.

As I started to shut my hut door, I heard Ruff mumble then I turned to see her waking up, before walking out of my hut and shouting,

"TUFFNUT!"
