A harmonic, mellow hum and the quiet strum of guitar was the first thing I heard waking up in the morning. A smile curled up on my lips as I turned from my side and laid on my back. When I finally opened my eyes, I slowly sat up and shielded my eyes from the sunlight peeking through the window for a few seconds. As I sat up, I spotted Tristan's bare back slightly bent as she strummed on her guitar and nodded her head in tune.

She seemed so peaceful, even with her wild bed hair draping over her eyes. I began crawling towards her on the bed and when I finally got close to her, I wrapped my legs around her from behind. Her humming ceased, and a soft chuckle came from her as her fingers stopped strumming. She looked back at me and gave me a small smile. "You're finally up, huh?"

I kissed her shoulder and nodded my head. "I am," I whispered as I ran my fingers down her arm. "What you over here singing about?"

She laughed lightly and played some random chords on the guitar. "I wasn't singing about anything."

"Well, you were humming."

"Was I, honey? I don't recall. I don't know how to sing. I sound like a house dog that's put in the backyard for a whole night. I'm like howling and wailing and nothing's good coming out."

"Why do you love to lie to me, Tristan? I know you can sing. You said last night that you performed at Rosa's and if you can hum...like that, then I know damn well you can sing. Don't you think it's about time you sing me a little something? Like what you were just playing."

"You really want me to sing you a little something?"

"Just a little. Give me a taste, baby."

Tristan nodded her head. "Fine, but don't laugh at me, okay, honey?"

"Aw, I would never laugh at my baby," I cooed.

"Yeah, we'll see about that," Tristan said with a nervous chuckle.

"Hey, don't be nervous. If you sing for me, I'll sing for you."

"You can sing," Tristan asked as she looked back at me with surprise.

I giggled mischievously and shrugged my shoulders. "Sing for me and find out, Texas."

"Bet," she replied with a nod before slowly standing up from the bed with her guitar in her hands. She began walking around her room playing a catchy melody with her fingers.

I was smiling like a goofball in anticipation to hear her voice. She was teasing me and dragging the beginning of the song as she smiled as well. It was a gorgeous sight to see. She was only in her underwear, giving me an award-winning smile as she played that guitar of hers effortlessly. When she finally cleared her throat and began singing, my heart skipped a few beats.

"It's in the way you touch me,

I don't know much about love,

But I keep on checkin' my phone,

To see when you're home,

Or when you want me to pull up

We're one and the same,

You got me caught in a daze,

I love it when you say name real slow,

All my love is yours."

She crooned sexily with a small rasp to her voice. She was such a liar, talking about how she couldn't sing. If I was wearing panties right now, they would be soaked. When she was done, she gave me a cute, shy smile. I had never seen her seem shy. She was always confident and comfortable, but I could tell it took a lot of her to sing in front of me. Which I didn't know why because her voice was amazing.
