THIRD PERSON POV

"cody?"

they both stare at their surroundings, shocked. most things were thrown around and there was a lot of glass shattered on the floor. the only thing in the middle of it all was cody. he was sitting on the bed, with his head in his hands.
he didn't even dare to look up.

kiké and chris stood there shocked at the sight. they almost didn't know what to do but kiké instinctively and quickly walked in and tried his best to not step on any glass with chris trailing behind.

they both join cody and sit on either side of him. no words were said. just plain quiet. plain and tense quiet.

after minutes and minutes of dead silence, the tension finally broke, when cody sniffled and sat up wiping his face. his eyes scanned the mess made in the room before stopping at the wall in front of them.

"i had a girlfriend a couple of years ago..." he trailed off, making kiké and chris to turn towards him. "we dated for a while," he continued, and with every word spoken his heart ached more and more. "....honestly thought that we would we be together forever...but a few months before I made it up here, she left." his eyes filled with tears again, and he couldn't help but feel embarrassed that he was crying in front of them. he never liked people seeing him cry.

kiké and chris on the other hand were confused but intrigued by cody's words. they wanted to hear more. they wanted to know what was causing their best friend such pain.

"she left me without saying goodbye."

"she left me and never came back. i was left alone. i didn't know what to do. i was lost. i couldn't even process my thoughts right. i couldn't wrap my head around the fact that she had left me. and it took me a while. it took me a while to get my life back together."

he suddenly chuckles, bitterly. "who knows. maybe i wouldn't even be here with you guys right now, if i hadn't gotten myself back together. maybe everything would be different..." his words really dawned on chris and kiké.

"...but the point is that i did get through that, and i continued on with my dream and tried to live my life." he looks back down to his hands in his lap. "i decided to erase everything that had ever happened to me, in the past. everything, everyone. i deserved to move forward on my own, without having those memories stuck by my side."

hearing cody say those words, stunned chris and kiké. they had never heard this about cody. they felt bad for him. this was a side of cody they were new too. maybe not the aggressive side but the side that poured out anything from within and looked so broken, was definitely new.

none of the boys beside cody talked. and if they opened their mouth to, nothing would come out. they didn't know what to say. that frustrated cody because he wanted them to talk. he wanted them to pull him away from exposing the actual truth. he was scared to tell them.

but the boys knew cody well enough and they knew there was more to tell, so they preferred to stay silent and let him explain.

"i...uh- a couple days ago, i found out that victoria knew who brie was. and that they were good friends. and yesterday at gianni's party, she tried to talk to me and, explain."

"but i told her i didn't want to hear it and i left. i didn't let her. until today-" cody began to finally edge closer to the news, and before he could spill it, realization hit chris.

"brie from today, is brie from back then?" he asks his eyes widening, and cody nods yes. "yes but—"

"everything makes sense now," chris cut him off and looks at kiké. "yes but, that's not the point. the point is that i finally heard her explanation today — and it was nothing like I had heard."

"the reason she left me, was because..." cody starts to earn the courage but when it's time, he stops. he freezes for a couple seconds.

chris catches on and pats his back lightly. "come on belli. speak up" he encourages.

cody is able to calm himself down a little bit, and sits up. for a few seconds, he kept quiet. the silence was bearable but the boys were urged to hear what cody had to say.

"she was pregnant."

chris and kiké immediately look at him in disbelief.

"what??" they both raise their voices. they stare at him in shock, not believing what they had just heard.
