A dark grey coloured asylum ship landed in the square of the village in Jakku, where Maurice was surrounded by taunting villagers.
The pilot, Mr. D'Arque, stepped out as Tom, Dick and Stanley threw Maurice into the cage in the back of the ship. Maurice almost couldn't think. He was going to a planet where only crazy souls lived.
He didn't belong there. He needed to save his daughter from that man. And it wasn't his problem that they didn't believe him. He would save Rey, even if it was the last thing he would do in his life.
Armitage Hux leaned into the ship. The gathering crowd was just loud enough to mask a private plea to Maurice.
"Have you ever seen the inside of a mad house, Maurice? You wouldn't last a week. Just give me your daughter's hand, and I'll set you free," he said awfully calm.
"Never," Maurice spat at him. Hux clenched his jaw and locked the door with a CLANK.
"Take him away!" Hux yelled and stepped back - the ship was ready for takeoff. The ship began to move and steam sputtered out of the ship. The loud villagers watched the ship until they were silenced by another ship.
A black, intimidating ship landed in the sand and a few seconds later it opened. Through the steam a white with golden evening gown appeared, worn by...
"STOP!" Rey screamed as she ran out of the ship. Her loud voice cut through the crowd. The crowd parted before her as she came closer. They whispered as she passed.
"Rey..."
"Where did she come from?"
"Is that Rey..."
"Look at that dress..."
"How did she get that ship?"
Rey ignored it all. She was here because of her father. She needed to help him.
Hux stared, slack-jawed, unable to believe his eyes. All the villagers looked at her. The jealous village lasses, the puzzled Danry, the confused Phasma, the foul-tempered Clothilde, the bewildered Jeax and in the shadows... Luke Skywalker.
Rey fearlessly strode right in front of the ship that landed again. Sand was flying all around her. Rey ran to the locked door, filled with fear.
"Rey?" asked her father in disbelief and tears filled up his eyes. "I thought I'd lost you!"
She saw her father behind the glass window. Injured. She started to hit the metal door with her fists.
"Open this door! He's hurt!" she yelled at Mr. D'Arque.
"I'm afraid we can't do that, miss. But we'll take very good care of him," he told her with a sickening grin.
"My father's not crazy! Armitage... tell him!" Rey looked over her shoulder at the tall, strong red haired man with a short trimmed beard.
"Rey, you know how loyal I am to your family, but your father had been making some unbelievable claims," he said to her with a serious undertone.
"It's true. He's been raving about a Man without a Face named Kylo Ren in a castle on a forgotten planet! In the middle of an asteroid storm!" Mr. Danry told her.
Her hart skipped a beat. The truth. And they didn't believe it. But maybe... If she could convince them that her father spoke the truth indeed they would let him go. It was her only option.
"I have just come from that planet, the castle and there is a Man without a Face named B- Kylo Ren!" Rey claimed.
"We all admire your devotion to your father, but you'd say anything to free him. Your word is hardly proof," Hux said and the villagers nodded.
Rey wanted to spat at him, at his confident grin. She pulled out the magic mirror from her sash.
"You want proof?" she asked him threatening and Hux raised a brow. Rey faced the mirror. "SHOW ME THE MAN WITHOUT A FACE!" Rey screamed so loud that everyone could hear it.
In the mirror, Ben sat slumped against a turret wall. It broke Rey's heart to see him so lost and heartbroken. The villagers gasped. Hux' face registered shock.
"There is your proof!" Rey yelled as she showed everyone the mirror - everyone who dared to see the kind man that was damned.
"This is sorcery!" Hux yelled and he looked at Ben in the mirror again. He snatched the mirror from Rey and held it up to the villagers. "Look at him! Look at that mask! Who knows what kind of creature is beneath that?!"
The villagers recoiled in fright. Rey looked at them — and knew what Hux was doing. She needed to stop him.
"No, don't be afraid. He is gentle and kind." Hux sniffed at her words.
"The monster has put her under a spell! If I didn't know better, I'd say she even cared about him," Hux said in disgust.
"He's not a monster, Armitage Hux. You are," said Rey with a shaking voice of anger and fear — fear for what he would do to Ben. "Kylo Ren would never hurt anyone!" Rey said to the villagers.
"I have heard of the effects of the Dark Side of the Force, but never seen it with my own eyes before! This a threat to our own very existence!" Hux yelled at the villagers, convincing them.
Children started to cry. Hux held the mirror up. He turned to the thugs.
"We can't have her running off to warn Ren. Lock her op too." Rey defended herself — but it was harder with a evening gown. And before she knew it Tom, Dick and Stanley strong-armed Rey into the cell with her father.
"This isn't over, Hux, you'll see!" Rey yelled as she almost pressed her face into the thick glass window.
"Armitage, with all due respect -" said book holder Jeax, but Hux didn't let him speak.
"DO YOU WANT TO BE NEXT? Prepare my ship!" Hux said to Phasma. Hux went to his ship and stood in the open door. "That creature will curse us all if we don't stop him! Well, I say we KILL KYLO REN!"
"We're not safe until he's dead!" Tom shouted.
"He'll come stalking us at night!" yelled Dick and he punched his fist in the air.
"Set to sacrifice our children! To his monstrous appetite!" added Mr. Danry furious and he looked at the children who were crying and afraid. Clothilde thought it was time to use her voice.
"He'll wreak havoc on our village if we let him wander free!"
"So it's time to take some action, boys. It's time to follow me!" Hux shouted so loud that some children backed off. The crowd cheered and punched their weapons into the dry air.
Hux grabbed his blaster and shot to the old scrapple wood. Flames rose to the sky.
"Through the mist, through the wood
Through the darkness and the
shadows
It's a nightmare but it's one exciting
ride," Hux yelled, almost like he was singing. He checked Clothilde's blaster and clapped the shoulder of Mr. D'Arque, who watched helplessly as his asylum ship got hit by the sand.
"Say a prayer, then we're there
At the drawbridge of the castle
And there's something truly terrible
inside
It's Kylo Ren, he's got fangs razor
sharp ones
Massive hands, killer claws for the
feast
Hear him roar, see his mask
But we're not coming home
'Til he's dead, good and dead
KILL KYLO REN!" Some villagers grabbed their self made weapons, created by the trash they collected from the Star Destroyer. Rey tried to see as many as she could through the thick glass of the tiny window.
Book keeper Jeax tried to calm the frenzy but the force of the mob pushed him back. They all ran towards the ships - old junk that could barely leave the atmosphere without falling apart, but the scavengers and the poor people were desperate and wild enough to take the risk. Because how bad would it be if they died? On Jakku there was nothing to live for.
Hux entered his ship and Phasma followed. It didn't took long for the ship to leave the red junk planet.
