Chapter 5; Venemous

Kaya's POV

“So, you’re sure that the venom didn’t leave any side effects?” Lydia asked me for the third time before we headed to coach finstocks class. The whole class was based on preparing for the midterm that was worth 50% of our grade.

“So, the Kanima is some type of werejaguar from South America that goes after murderers.” Stiles said from behind me making sure Lydia couldn’t hear.

“Listen, I don’t know what's going on but Derek thinks that this Kanima thing is Lydia. Isaac is back at school and they are going to test her in chemistry.” Jackson said pushing himself into the conversation. Stiles and I both gave him a weird look but I sent a text to Allison and Scott telling them about the plan we had for chemistry.

“The kanima can’t be Lydia, when I looked into it’s eyes I saw pure evil. When I look into her eyes I see, slightly less evil.” Stiles butted in before the bell rang and we quickly walked to chemistry. Scott sat with Erica, Stiles with Isaac, and Allison with Lydia; leaving me to sit with Matt. Mr. Harris announced that we would be switching lab partners during each step of the lab which made it harder to watch Lydia. I would be staying at the lab table behind hers, Scott next to hers and Stiles behind Scott. During the first round Erica flirted with Scott and Stiles looked as pale as a ghost from whatever Isaac was saying to him. The bell ringed and we switched again this time, Isaac coming to me.

“Hey, beautiful.” he whispered as he put his hand on my thigh. I quickly moved it off and continued the lab work. Lydia may have been the secret genius but I didn’t try to hide my smarts

“Aw, don’t be so cold sweetheart. We’re doing what we have to do.” he said trying to get a response out of me. “And to think that I thought you actually liked me, you do check me out everytime we see each other.” he said helping put things into the beaker. The smirk was evident on his face as my cheeks grew warm and red. “I knew it, you know you we could be together, just take the bite.” he whispered in my ear before the bell rang and he walked to Scotts station.

“Aw, does Isaac get you all flustered?” Erica said as she sat down in the chair next to me. “To bad he doesn’t want you, he already has me.” She said smirking. Now I was angry with the both of them.

“Really? I thought you were with Boyd. Or are you the pack slut now that everyone shares.” I said and across the room I could see Scott laugh as he was listening to the conversation. She took out her claws and  and roughly grabbed my knew.

“You’re messing with the wrong girl hun. You know, if this doesn’t work on Lydia little miss new girl is the next option.” she said as she got up and walked to the last station. Isaac was now sitting with Lydia.

“Now, if you did it right you may eat your experiment. My treat.” Mr. Harris said as most of the class groaned looking at there slop which was supposed to be a crystal candy. Mine turned out fine but I gave it to my partner to eat considered my stomach was in knots at what Erika said, but there was no way that I was the kanima because it had attacked me. Dummy, just trying to scare me.

“Lydia NO!” Scott yelled before she put the candy in her mouth. Everyone turned to look at him but it was too late when she put the crystal in her mouth. We all exchange worried looks as Isaac smiles to himself. Ew, how deranged can someone be. The bell rings for lunch and we all quickly shuffle out as Allison follows Lydia wherever she needs to go.

"Derek is waiting in the parking lot." Scott says worriedly.

"What do we do? Oh my god. Are they going to kill her?" I asked panting. This is my first time dealing with a serial killer, I don't know how my mom does this stuff.
