Kaya’s POV
Jackson ended up filing a restraining order against Stiles and Scott, nothing to serious considering they locked him in the back of a van for 2 days. I told Scott what Alison had told me and he immediately left to go do some research with Scott leaving me alone to do nothing. So currently I’m laying on my bed trying to get Isaac Lahey’s gorgeous face out of my mind. Pathetic I know, ever since he has been back at school I can’t stop looking at him. I Something about him makes me think he doesn’t want to be so cruel hes just trying to be confident.
“Kaya, the sheriff's boy is here for you!” My mom yelled from downstairs. I slowly got up from my bed and walked down the stairs to get Stiles before motioning him to follow me to the den upstairs.
“So, I’m grounded from Scott. Or Scott's grounded from me anyway so yeah. Allison is going to bring us the translated beastiary pages tomorrow and you and her are going to try and talk to Jackson.” Stiles blurted out as soon as I shut the door.
“Okay, wait why do we both have to talk to Jackson. I watched him with you all day, even if he didn’t file a restraining order against me he still doesn’t want to talk to me.” I said sitting on the couch next to him.
“Yeah, maybe just Allison should do that.” He responded. We talked Jackson for the rest of the night before he left. Yeah not really the most interesting topic but when it comes to a homicidal lizard I would rather be on the receiving end of information.

“So what exactly did you tell Lydia she was translating?” I asked as we gave the boys the tablet in the back of the library. Probably the only place to hide from the principals psycho camera system.
“I said we were part of an online gaming community that battles mythical creatures.” She said laughing to herself.
“I am apart of an online gaming community that battles mythical creatures.” Stiles said in complete seriousness. We just kind of looked at him and nodded.
“Anyways Stiles was right about the murderers. It calls the kanima a weapon of vengeance. There's a story there about a south American priest who uses the kanima to execute murderers in his village. Until the bond grows strong enough that it killed whoever he wanted it to.” She said looking around her shoulder.
“Okay yeah all bad, all very very bad.” Stiles said nervously scratching the back of his neck.
“Not only that but the kanima can become a werewolf when-”
“When it resolves that in its past that manifests its mind.” Scott finished
“Alright lets just sign Jackson up for a shrink problem solved.” I said smirking, proud of my joke.
“What if it has something to do with his parents. His real parents” Alison said worriedly.
“Yeah, does anybody actually know what happened to them?” Scott asked.
“Lydia might.” Stiles said, pretty sure he was just waiting for a time to bring her up.
“Well he doesn’t have a restraining order against me so I’ll just talk to him myself.” Alison said pretending to put a book back and walking away.
“My study hall is almost up so I’m going to my locker, bye guys.” I said walking around the bookcase to the doors. Scott had his make up exam today so he was going to be locked in a room for an hour, which gave me an uneasy feeling. Hes the only real protection we got. Stiles went to go ask Lydia about Jackson's dad.
