'See you soon!'
Phil read the text from a boy that he hadn't even met yet loved and cared about so deeply.
'I can't wait :)'
Phil texted back within a few moments, fingers gliding gracefully over the keyboard as he typed as fast as he could. He had never met someone from online in person before and the more he thought about it the more worked up about it he got because this could be any random stranger off of the internet using the power of technology to look like a young boy. But Dan was real, he wasn't a random old man, he wasn't faking it, no. Dan was real and that's what Phil kept telling himself.
The sudden and very loud noise of a train squeaking to a halt on the rusty old tracks made Phil immediately look up from his phone, eyes darting around looking for the boy he had only ever laid eyes on, on a screen. And then, and then he saw him. Looking so small and lost as he searched through the crowd of commuters that he seemed to tower over, he was easy to spot really. Phil felt his heart race, his breath quickening, the one person that understood him, that had spoken to him all this time was right there in front of him, it felt surreal.
"Dan"
Phil called trying not to startle those that were walking around him but the boy seemed to have heard as the moment he turned to face Phil, their eyes meeting his absolutely gorgeous brown eyes meeting Phil's own, the dimple that he had seen on screen so often appeared. It was almost as though they raced towards each other, as though they both gave each other oxygen which was needed to survive.
They ran towards one another before flailing their arms and hugging into each other not bothering who was looking or who was judging. Phil felt an unordinary feeling in his chest, in his heart but when he pulled away from Dan it died down almost immediately.
"Oh Phil I can't believe it... you're finally in front of me"
Dan said the smile still in-printed on his face. And really Phil couldn't believe it either because here he was standing next to the boy he had helped and that had helped him.

They sat with each other in a little café sitting side by side maybe even to close, laughing louder than they should've been, sipping a warm coffee, taking the occasional bite out of a cookie. Until that was Phil, without thinking rested his arm on the back of Dan's chair so that he didn't keep awkwardly touching his leg as he tried to sit comfortably. Dan had stopped talking almost as though he had been frozen to the spot, phil sensed his discomfort shifting slightly, starting to feel uncomfortable in the silence that had grown between them.
"I'm sorry I...."
Phil trailed off when he looked at the boy and seen the same beautiful smile, those beautiful brown eyes staring back at him.
"No..... no Phil ... it's ok"
Dan said quietly before moving ever so slightly closer to him, not noticeable to those around them but very noticeable to Phil who began to get the same sensation in his heart again, weak but stronger than the last.
"Do you ever?......"
what was he doing? What was he thinking? Asking a boy he was sitting next to if he felt a sensation in his heart whenever they got close, this was literally the second time they had gotten this close of course it felt a bit strange. Dan looked at him blankly, watching him struggle to find the words.
"Do you...... do you ever just question everything?"
Phil said before realising how stupid that sounded but at least it was better than his original question.
"What has gotten into you Lester?"
Dan said his brown eyes studying Phil's face confused as to why he had asked such a random and broad question. Their nicknames for each other always made Phil slightly happier even though it was basically just their name.
"what sort of question is that? But yes I have those occasional moments....why do you ask?"
Phil felt his face burning red against his pale skin regretting even opening his mouth to ask any questions, this is why Dan always done the talking.
"y.....yes I do"
he stuttered hoping Dan wouldn't notice, but of course he would, this is Dan he noticed many unnecessary things and felt the need to point them out so it was no surprise that he started laughing at him.
"What's the matter Philly? Is it really that scary talking to me?"
The sensation in Phil's heart was growing stronger beginning to worry him slightly but he had to try and forget about it in order to keep a friendship or conversation going with Dan which so far wasn't going smoothly after he had already made him uncomfortable and could hardly speak all that added with the eternal battle he was having with one of his most important organs that was screaming out to him.
"N..no Dan why would anyone think you were scary? Look at you there's nothing scary about you. In fact if I were to live with you I bet I'd scare you more often than you would me"
Phil felt shocked at the fact he had just hinted that he wanted Dan to live with him that was almost as bad as mentioning marriage on a first date.
"Dan I'm sorry... I don't know what's wrong with me today"
Phil laughed awkwardly but Dan was just smiling possibly at his friend's embarrassment
"Oh Phil you are a special one aren't you"
Dan said with a smile poking Phil on the side of the face and laughing when he jumped at the sudden touch that had made his heart go wild in his chest.
"What's that meant to mean Howell?"
"You're one of a kind and I'm glad I found you"
Phil had never smiled so much in one day in all his life, Dan truly did make him the happiest.
'If I were to live with you'
