Gust of Affection

***** So onto the second chapter of Sam and Lilly's lives, I hope everyone is enjoying the book so far and if anyone has any confusions or tips for me then feel free to drop them in the comments and I will try and reply. Also for any confusion out there; Sam is 19 and Lilly is 17, they are almost equal in height but Sam is taller. I just mentioned this because I thought it would clear any confusion between how the characters look. *****

A slight breeze swept past the two teenagers, Sam and Lilly had ventured from the great oak toward the fondly known pub called the Boars Head. Our young misfits of a world full of elemental control are about to embark on an adventure neither will ever forget...

Sam POV: "So, what do you think about our situation. Having no element and being the misfits of the world?" I asked Lilly, trying to see if she felt as I did. "Well, I think great things always happen to those who wait. I hope anyway. You see, I fled my town because everyone there thought I was different, and I became a traveler. I wonder around the world... or so I have been for the past two days, how about you?" She said casually.

Lilly POV: Don't panic, don't panic. He's just making conversion, no need to get flustered, breath...

Sam POV: I paused for a second, raking my mind for an answer that would portray me as a cool guy. "Well, if I'm being honest, it's tuff but I'd say I cope just fine. I live with my mum and my dad passed away when I was born, you aren't thinking of leaving this town are you?" I pondered hoping she was staying... Ah crap, I like her...

Lilly POV: Think think, "well it depends do you want me to stay?" Crapppp! That's the worst possible answer!! "Uh, well yeh, I think your, cool..." He stuttered, his cheeks went a bright shade of red. I went and did it again, now he really looks cute.

Sam POV: God damn it, I could feel my cheeks melting off of my face. But what was that, was Lilly blushing too, does, no... She likes me? "Well I think your cool too." She gave me a shy smile that made both our cheeks explode with red. "Anyway looks like we're at the bar, let's get you a drink." I said, quickly changing the topic.

With that our two love birds entered the bar. The two sat down in silence for half an hour and drank at least 4 bears between them. Yes some may say stupid, but in a world full of elemental wizardry, what even is stupid...

Sam POV: We drank our last share of bears and I watched as Lilly began swaying in her chair, she clearly couldn't handle as much bear a I could. I thanked the bar tender and carried her back to my home, I lay her in bed and sat on my wooden chair next to her. I watched her drift into sleep and whilst watching I thought of what a kind person she seems to be. What a kind person indeed...

The next day...

Lilly POV: I awoke to a comfortable bed and let out an almost growl of a yawn, only to see Sam sat asleep on a small wooden chair next to me. Oh crap, he looks so nice, wait, did I pass out!! Last night oh no... I can't believe he had to carry me all the way to his house. I look over to him again and without realising I began leaning over to him and almost without realising, I kissed him!

Sam POV: I opened my eyes to come face to face with Lilly. Aaahhhhhh!!! She was kissing me. My cheeks burnt and all of a sudden I felt myself go into a panic, she was panicking too. She pulled back quickly and looked shocked as to what she had just done. I sat there, completely bewildered, I knew she maybe liked me, but not this much. I can't say I didn't like it but, what the hell!
Suddenly I felt a sharp pain in my stomach, I keeled over "ahh... What the hell is this pain?!" Another sharp pain this time coming from my head, what is happening too me?

Lilly POV: Ahhhh, I just kissed him. "Wait, are you okay, did I hurt you?" He started keeling over. Oww, that hurt, a sharp pain jabbed me in the stomach. Crap again in the head and much stronger, I looked over to Sam who was clearly experiencing the same pain. Was that his shadow then, a flicker of darkness began circling him, it grew thicker and thicker, he began to fade away into the dark fog swirling around him. What the hell happened, I wanted my first kiss to be romantic not traumatic!

Sam POV: I felt a strong pain spread through my body and looked across to Lilly for help only to see she was in the same situation as me. Ahh, I covered my eyes as a strong bright light spewed out of her body. Almost immediately I lost vision of her as black smoke swirled around me covering all vision. We are so utterly screwed!
"Lilly, don't worry I'll try and help!" I shouted to keep her from panicking. "I think we need to help our selves first." She replied. One final surge of pain catapulted through my body. The last image I saw was darkness.

Lilly POV: A bright light completely blinded me until another wave of pain traveled across my body. The last image I saw was a pure bright light.

The two teenagers collapsed, all of the light and darkness vanished into their body's and left them sprawled across the floor. What had happened to our young lovers...

***** Well that was gripping hopefully, I tried to put a bit of drama into this one. Hopefully everyone is enjoying this and I am beginning to like these characters and there shy ways. Well, I'll see you all in the next chapter. Have fun. ;) *****
