Light of Endearment

***** Hello, I'll start straight away with the question, so....... What is your favourite animal, I have a dog called Olly and he is the best friend I could ever have, other than my best friend obviously. Also has anyone realised the stuff I'm doin with the titles of each chapter, I think it's pretty funky. Anyway, enjoy the chapter, I am still yet to have any comments on any chapter and I'm goin strong with 8 reads altogether. But oh well, I'm enjoying myself so yeh, if anyone would be so kind as to leave somethin that would be great though, and it could just be because I have terrible wifi and non of the comments or reads are loaded. Damn that was a long authors notes section. ;) *****

Sam awoke next to a sleeping Lilly and decided it would be a good idea to look for his retired professor, Mr Googly, his real name was actually Professor Goodly but when he wore his glasses it would give the illusion that he had 'Googly' eyes and the name caught on. Sam woke Lilly and together they set out to find out more of what there powers could do...

Sam POV: "Common slow coach, at this rate it'll be night time again before we reach the professor." I yelled back to the out of breath Lilly "I thought you were a traveler, doesn't that involve moving and walking." I joked. "Oh shut up you... So you know how I like you and how you said you liked me... Does that mean, well, you know, does that mean." before Lilly could finish I cut in "Yes, yes we are boyfriend and girlfriend, or we can be a bit more if you want too."

Lilly POV: I blushed to myself as he joked with me, God I love him so much. "So how far is it to your professors place?" I asked, I'm not cut out for all this exercise. "Not too far know, hopefully he can shed some 'light' onto our powers, ha, get it, light, powers, eh eh." He replied, "I must admit, the only bad thing about you is your sense of humour." I said jokingly. "Well consider yourself lucky, you've only had a taster of what my great comedic side is like." He said looking back to me with a grin on his face. "Anyway, we're here now, he is a friendly enough person, just a bit mad." Those were the last words from Sam as we came to a small run down cottage in the middle of, well, no where.

Sam POV: "Old man, you here?" I knocked vigorously on the door, hoping his one working ear would hear me. "Is it the time for carol singers already, ohh bloody hell, I thought I shot down the last of them already." I heard the old man's croaky voice from inside, I looked over to Lilly who was clearly worried and smiled to her for comfort. "Old man, it's me Sam." I shouted in reply, I listened as about 12 locks were undone over the time of about a minute. "Ahh Sam, I thought I'd shot you down already too." The old man said jokingly with a toothless grin, "It seems you've kept your sense of humour still." I replied back "This is a friend called Lilly, and well sir, we have something rather amazing to show you, do you mind if we go to your garden.", "Of course son, you know the way."

The three of them walked through the cottage and came to an old back door, Sam led the way and pushed open the door with a load creek from the door hinges...

Lilly POV: "Holy cow, this is a-amazing!" I looked past the door in pure amazement. "Well, I'm not one of the top earth users for nothing you know." Said the old man smiling at the amazement on my face. Past the old dingy cottage lay a wonderful landscape; it was like a different world. The professor must have used his earth wielding skill to create this view, he had sculpted multiple statues of gods from the earth and allowed wonderful shrubbery to grow over them, he had separated different pieces of earth to create a long winding stream that filled out into a lake. Finally he had risen the ground and created a small grassy hill on which there was a lonely bench propped up against a huge looming blossom tree. It was the best site I had seen in my life.

Sam POV: "Yeh, it took me a good few years to get my head around it too. Anyway the view is not what we are here for, so old man, you used to love teaching our class about the missing elements, light and dark. Well I'm here to tell you." I was cut off as the old man began to speak "Yes yes yes, you two are the wielders of said elements are you not. I've known you would wield dark for years, you see, there is a forgotten story about your family Sam. Your family's name is yang, am I correct Sam.", "Y-yes." I replied, stunned "there is a tale passed down through your family, that one day the power of darkness would again fall into the yang blood line. It is a tale only told to each generation of your family, and your parents entrusted me with that tale in hope you would come to me, as you are now, for help. And I suppose this young girl would be the light wielder, is that correct?" He asked without even flinching "Well, y-yes." I replied again. "Right we must begin training straight away, you were probably never told, but both of your family's are hunted. You see, In the days of war, light and dark ruled the battlefield, and so each country agreed that no country should have such powerful assets. A deal was struck meaning the elements of light and dark were to be forgotten, wiped from the face of the earth and so every user was killed, only a few of each clan survived, they Sam, were your and your friends ancestors."

Our two lovers have finally realised what these powers bring with them, and so together they will master there elements so they can live together and protect each other, but will there training be quick enough for them to survive the upcoming threats?...

***** Yey, old professor Googly is here. The inspiration from this character was actually from my old high school teacher  called Mr Brassington, he wore really big glasses that made him have Googly eyes so yeh. Anywho keep enjoyin the book cos I am. ;) *****
