A modern story about the Avonlea High School student, Gilbert Blythe, a shy but social, unintentionally popular boy, meeting a girl who suddenly sparks his curiosity which suddenly leads to something more, possibly tragical but romantical...
All in...
It felt like it was a lifetime until the weekend as we planned to meet up. I think I stared at her a lot of the time at school, and during our little spelling bee we had, she definitely wasn't feeling well that day, but I hope I can change that. I can't stop thinking of her smile and her laugh, which obviously rarely happens around me. I chewed on a dried mango snack, thinking of how things went down the other day at school.
"Why do you have to be the one Gilbert looks at?!" Ruby shouted at Anne in the hallway. She ran away and headed towards the bathroom. As this happened, I was just a few feet away as my locker was really close to Anne and Diana's. I tried to hide behind the door of my locker because as my name was mentioned, a lot of people were looking at me. Charlie happened to stand near me when it happened. "Gil? You know hiding in the locker won't do any good. I think some girls are taking snaps of you right now." Charlie waved at them. Diana tried to calm Anne down in which soon Josie Pyre decided to say something in addition, "I can't believe an orphan like you even have somebody like Gil looking at you. Ruby, you know has feelings for him. How about you like," Josie curls her hair with one of her fingers, chewing gum, "stay the heck away from him? Also what even are those shoes you're wearing? Looks like someone barfed on them." Anne looks down at her shoes that have colorful paint splatter on them. Diana said in defending Anne, "Josie! Mind your own business!" Josie rolled her eyes and went to the bathroom to find Ruby. I tried really hard to not listen on what was happening. Charlie looked at me and then looked over to Anne. Anne walked away quickly in which Diana followed her. "How are you always involved with the ladies but like without being involved physically?" Charlie rubbed his temple with his right hand, I slowly moved and closed my locker, "I honestly don't know. I really don't understand how these ladies work." I shrugged my shoulders, "Anyways we should head to Math." Charlie nodded, and we left the crowded hallway.
It was really awkward in Math class, as Ruby kept sniffling, and Billy kept annoying people around him. And for Anne she kept her eyes on the notes and doodles she was making. I tried my best to not look her way because if I did, Ruby would try to see if I was looking in Anne's direction. I sighed, the other day was really odd. I kept thinking that she may not come for the mini golf thing. I decided to text her..just to see how she was doing.

I chuckled, I grabbed my mango sticks and went to my room. I sat on my bed, and continued to chat with her.

I laughed, but then Anne had sent a text that she had to go eat dinner so I said bye and that I'll see her tomorrow. With that just being sent, I wrote a tweet to put on my twitter:

I smiled as my heart pitter-pattered just from thinking about her. I can't imagine how tomorrow with go, how much fun we'll have, how much I'll get to see her smile. I can't wait. And I drifted asleep before I knew it. I ended up dreaming of just simply taking Anne's freckled, face with both of my hands, touching her soft skin, and just kiss her lips, imagining it all would be soft and sweet like honey. And everything in the moment would be just right. I would tell Anne that she's so remarkable, beautiful even if she denies it, she still needs to know, no matter what anyone else has told her. She's Anne. She's only one of a kind. There's only one kind of an Anne, and that's Anne Shirley-Cuthbert.
Bzzt.
My alarm went off, ending the wonderful dream I had. I wake up, rubbing my eyes, remembering that I needed to get ready for my lovely time with Anne. I get in my nice clothes, and make myself look good. I give myself a look in the mirror, I stare for a minute, "Now, that's what a Blythe looks like!" I said to myself. I smile and walk out of my room, to grab a quick brekkie before heading out to meet with Anne.
