Late

I left the auditorium with a huge smile on my face. However, that moment of happiness was quickly interrupted by the realization that I was late to class.

~~~~~~
While I was causally strolling into class, my teacher, Mrs. Avery, was quick to realize I was late.
"Kelly. I am ashamed of you. Your first day of freshman year, and you're already are late. We can continue this conversation after class. Now take your seat." She snapped.
"Yes ma'am." I said, and took my seat, but I heard giggles around the room.
"Now, for our first studies, we will be studying Bach." Mrs. Avery began.
"Ugh.. This class was gonna seem like forever." I thought to myself.
This class was the History of Music, and it was a required course here at Berklee for freshman year. But hey, at least this meant I would get it over with sooner than later.
"Bach was born on March 21st, 1685. His full name was Johann Sebastian Bach, and he became a German composer during the Baroque period..." My teacher began her lesson, as I heard yawns from every corner around the room.
Class was over quicker than I thought it would be. But- as soon as we were dismissed, Mrs. Avery grabbed me before I got a chance to leave.
"Young lady." She began, saying those words very harshly. "If you are late for class one more time, you will have to write an essay, about Bach, that has 5,000 words or more. Am I clear?"
"Yes." I replied in a frightened tone. (I really wasn't scared, her breath just stank, and I didn't want to be late for my next class).
She then dismissed me to my next class.
As I was on my way, I decided to take a walk through the courtyard, that was of course a sea of people trying to get to class. The flowers were beautiful, and the aroma that filled the air was even more beautiful day.
"This might be a good day after all." I told myself.
When I got to the lunch building (this is where my second class is), I noticed Sam walking outside. I wanted to say something to him, but before I could, there was a girl who ran to him. To make matters worse, they hugged.
No, this wasn't the type of hug that a famous person would give to just a fan, this was an "I love you" type of hug.
Tears filled my eyes, I am just now starting to realize I may have a little crush on Sam...
