Nancy's POV

My first thought when I saw the hellish creature, was about how much my life had changed in the last 24 hours. In the first few seconds of my encounter with the hellhound my thoughts weren't racing with an escape plan, I wasn't even thinking about all the ways I could die. All I thought about was how much had changed since I had met Percy yesterday.

It had all started like this:

Eager to get away from the depressing sight of Camp Half-Blood I headed into the woods, very idiotically. I completely forgot about bringing a knife or any other weapon that would've been helpful in my current situation. I had just went into the woods empty-handed, as I have done many times before.

After a bit of exploring (I think I walked by the same tree at least three times) I found myself staring down a huge hellhound. I only recognized it from seeing pictures back in 6th grade of Ancient Greek devilish creatures.

After a few moments of glaring at me the hellhound sat down. It just sat, looking at me with its beast eyes. After I adjusted to the new arrangements (me not being afraid of being eaten anymore) I noticed the collar hanged from its neck. On the collar was a sheet of iron ad big as my head with the words: Mrs. O''Leary. I then noticed the words on the back: Property of Percy Jackson.

My breath caught in my throat. Percy Jackson. That was the name of the kid I had bullied way-back-when. The scrawny kid with the black hair and green eyes. The kid I had thrown pieces of PBJ at on the school bus on the way to the museum. That kid couldn't be the hot, well-built Percy Jackson at Camp Half-Blood that saved me yesterday. He just couldn't be. Not in a million years. But there was only one way to find out...

I started to run, hoping I knew my way back to camp and didn't find myself facing another monster from Greek mythology.

Finally I saw light again, as the trees thinned and I knew I was going the right way. When I saw the camp again, I couldn't be more thrilled to get away from the claustrophobic woods that I now knew held many dangerous creatures. I'd have to ask someone about that. Why did they let monsters roam free in the woods, when there was a whole camp that could be one day attacked? But it didn't matter now. The question would have to wait.

It took me a few moments to find where the arena was but as I saw it, I started running.

"Percy!" I called as I ran. Finally I stopped, almost bumping into him. "Why didn't you tell me?" I demanded.

"Um.. what didn't I tell you?" He managed weakly.

"That your Percy Jackson."

"Um..." was all he could make out. He clearly hadn't planned on having me find out.

And I was happy that I, for once, had made the "Great Percy Jackson" lost for words.

Sorry about the crappy ending, although most of the chapter was crappy in itself.
I truly hope that me posting two chapters in one night has made up for the long period of time between updates. This chapter was kind of a filler. Like I said before, I want to make Nancy less ignorant. Even though her finding out Percy's true identity does add to the plot, the story could go on without this chapter. Although, I think it's important for Nancy to find out more about demigods and all that's happened in PJO and HOO. Plus, I wanted to add Mrs. O'Leary somewhere. As I said before, I don't like keeping Nancy in the dark. I'll try to post more regularly in the future. Thanks for reading!
