Nancy's POV

As I walked away from the amphitheater and from Jasmin I realized I had nowhere to go. No cabin mates, no cabin, nothin'.

My shoulders fell as I looked around the camp, looking for a good place to hang out as I waited out the lessons.

My eyes stoped when I saw the big volleyball court on the side.

That would be perfect!

All through my freshman year of high school I played volleyball and I thought I wasn't half bad.

I turned on my heel and made my way to the court where 3 guys were already playing. Two of them were blond and the other had light brown hair that went to his shoulders.

The boys stopped the game when I made my way there.

"What'd you want?" One of the blonds asked, the volleyball under his right arm.

"To play, dummies, why else would I be here?" I retorted back, before swiping the ball from under the 1st boy's arm and holding it.

"Why should we?" The brunette asked.

Nancy pretended to ponder for a moment before saying, "Umm... cause I bored?"

"Ugh, sure, you can play with us." The second blond said. "We need another person anyways."

"So... names?" Nancy asked.

The brunette spoke up first. "I'm Tyler," Then he pointed to the first blond. "That's Ben, and that's Anthony." He pointed to the second blond at that.

"So who am I playing with?" I ask before throwing Tyler back the ball.

"You'll be on my team." Anthony said, before walking over to the other side of the net. Nancy began to join him as the other boys got in their positions too.

Ben served first and it all went on from there.

****

Tyler and Ben ended up losing, but it was fun. My competitiveness helped Anthony and I win, and also the fact that he was good. Like, really good. I was a little more rusty than I thought I would be at first but I had forgotten how much I had loved and missed that game.

By the time we were done we were all sweating and if I had a change of clothes I would be biting the showers right now but I had to make do. I headed to the bathroom and spritzed my hair with water and put some soap under my armpits and washed it out with some water and a paper towel. This is what I would downtimes do at home when our only shower was out. Or after PE if I had gotten SUPER sweaty.

After using the bathroom I made my way to Big House to talk to Mr. Brunner - no, Chiron. Yes. I had to talk to Chiron.

I had to tell him about Jasmine's plans and how none of the monsters bothered her in the woods? And - well I had tons of questions.

I opened the big front door and started to look around. I found some weird rooms with weird decorations, like a panther head and grape vines hanging from the ceiling, but no Mr. Br - Chiron. I'd take awhile for that name to stick but after seeing him in centaur form, it wouldn't be a name I could easily forget.

Deciding it was a lost cause, I made my way back to the arena. At the least I needed to talk to Percy.

Boom! Another chapter to an 'on hold' story!
As you can tell I know nothing about volleyball so basically I left the entire game out.
As I write this I realize how much I hate writing in 1st person. But whatever. I started the story like that, I'm going to finish it.
Vote and comment what you liked, and what you didn't (constructive criticism is good, just being an ass is not). Thanks for reading!
