It was the next day as Jackie and Markus were in the streets of Detroit, buying some supplies to repair the manor.
It's been months since Jackie left the manor, so it was like seeing the world for the first time for her. She held the android's hand as her teddy bear was held closely to her with the other.
"It's been so long since I left the mansion. I didn't think I'd ever go outside again." Jackie said. "Have you traveled the streets before?" Markus asked her.
"Once, with my grandpa." She answered. "How was it?" He asked as they walked into a store. "It was... nice. It made me feel happy because I was with Grandpa Achilles." Jackie said.
"Did your grandfather ever think about getting an android?"
"I don't know. He was always so... patient with things. Do you want to hear a story?"
"Okay."
The two of them walked down an aisle and picked up some paint as Jackie began her story.
(Flashback)
Little Jackie walked with Achilles as he used his cane to support his weight while the small child sang London Bridge. The old man smiled at his granddaughter, delighted to see her happy.
"Let's rest for a bit, Jacqueline. Just until I can get my strength back up." Achilles said before resting on a bus bench.
"Grandpa, why don't you buy yourself an android?" Jackie asked.
"I don't need a piece of plastic to take care of me," Achilles said before coughing. "Although, with my time coming up, it'd be nice to have a little help around the manor."
"Does that mean you'll buy one?" Jackie asked with a bit of excitement.
"Your old grandpa doesn't quite seem to have the money at the moment. And if he does, it's probably lying around somewhere in that old house." Achilles replied.
"Oh..." The child looked down with disappointment.
"Jacqueline, if you ever do stumble upon that money, bring it to your grandfather and we'll buy ourselves an android to help around the house, and if we still have some money saved over, we'll use it to fix up the manor like new. That will be your mission."
"You can count on me, Grandpa!" Jackie said, happily. She smiled while the old man petted her head. "Come on, help your old grandpa onto the bus so we can get home."
"Okay, Grandpa!"
(End of Flashback)
"Grandpa said, he wouldn't treat the android like it's some sort of machine. He'd treat it like family because family is important," Jackie explained.
"If we got a girl, her name would be Abigail. If it was a boy, his name would be Connor."
"Why those names?" Markus asked. "Abigail was the name of my grandmother and Connor was the name of his son. He would've been my uncle, but he died at a young age." Jackie said.
"I'm sorry to hear that."
"Don't be. You didn't do anything wrong."
Jackie gave him a reassuring smile until she heard the words, "You klutz!"
She and Markus looked across the street to find a human yelling at their android. "Pick them up! And make it snappy!" He ordered.
"I wish people would treat androids like they were one of them. They have feelings, too." Jackie said. Markus didn't reply as he stood to his feet.
