*BEEP* *BEEP* *BEEP* *BEEP*

That's all that could be heard. "Looks like they're here." L and ___ said at the same time. Maki just glared at the screen.

K had called L earlier, and he and ___ found evidence that K was behind the making of the virus.

K had broken into the place that L was staying in. She brought her "friends" with her.

Maki walked out of the room. "Maki-"

"It's fine. I have an idea." L said while pressing his thumb against his bottom lip. ___ immediately caught onto this. She smirked slightly.

WITH MAKI AND K

"There you are!" K said. "You know that item that your father gave you? Well, he gave you the wrong thing. He wants it back immediately."

Maki just clutched her teddy bear.

"Is that it?" K asked, going for the teddy bear.

"K," L said through the speaker.

"Or... Kimiko Kujo." He continued.

"So, you were able to guess my name. We should meet face-to-face." K responds.

"Watari had such high hopes for you..."

"I think that I am still qualified to meet those expectations."

And so the argument began.

WITH L

L had been talking with K. He then walked out of the room with something in his hand. ___ looked at the screen. He was confronting K.

"She's right. I do have a weakness," L said. He then proceeded to pick Maki up. "HEY, LET ME GO! YOU'LL GET INFECTED! I'LL KILL HER! I SWEAR!" Maki kept shouting, but to no avail.

L entered a hallway, dragging ___ and the boy with him. They eventually got to a big room, but Maki collapsed. A man caught Maki, though.

"Hideaki Suruga; FBI! We know about Watari, and I was sent to protect you," the man said.

"Isn't that encouraging?" L replied with a look of annoyance. ___ and the boy giggled at his response. "What is so funny?" L asked, completely bewildered.

"We just think that you are humourous, L,"___ responded. L just smirked.

"This way!"

The man began dragging them.

"No." L objected, and started dragging them in the opposite direction.

"This is where I keep my mobile headquarters..."

When the garage opened, a crépe truck was visible.

They all entered the truck; except for the FBI agent.

"It's best if you drive..." L said to him.

That was the start of an interesting adventure.
