After thanking Shota again, I left to go to Tomura's. It wasn't hard to tell where I was, as I could see the U.A. school from where Shota's house was. He lived pretty near.
As I walked nearer towards the hideout, I felt someone, or some people, following me. I couldn't let anyone know where the hideout was.
Is Shota following me? I can't be, I feel that there's more than one person, and Shota wouldn't come with someone else. Would he?
I made up my mind and chose to act like I didn't notice. I was close to the hideout anyways. I took a shortcut through an alleyway. Just then, as I turned a corner, I saw a figure in white disappear from view. It was crouching down, doing something, before jumping away.
I was right in front of the base now, and as I walked closer, I felt someone sneak up on me. I quickly turn around, jumping back as an arm swung towards me.
"What is with me and getting attacked?" I asked out loud to myself. I saw the culprit of who was following and attacking me. I recognized him.
He had the appearance of a chameleon and his grey sweatshirt had a hoodie covering his short blonde hair. He wore baggy sweatpants and had a shaggy goatee and his eyes were staring menacingly into me.
"Meleoron," I stated matter-of-factly. "What are you doing here."
He laughed. "Obviously, ambushing you. You're not supposed to go in the hideout yet."
"Says who?" I back away slowly towards the hideout's door. However, he was quick and jumped behind me, blocking the way in.
"Says the boss." He smirked. "Now, come quietly, or I'll make you come, causing your nightmares."
Again, I couldn't do anything in this situation. I was so weak. As I thought about it, his quirk wasn't really offensive either. But where were the other group members?
Our speed was about the same, but he was physically stronger than me, so I couldn't fight him. His quirk allowed him, or whoever he's in contact with, to be invisible for as long as he held his breath. However, he and any others would still visible to me because of my quirk. He didn't appear to have any weapons on him, and neither did I. It was either fight or flight now.
"Fine." I dropped my hands to the side. He cautiously walked towards me, surprised that I gave up so easily. When he reached arm's length, I threw my body against him, tackling him. It caught him off guard and I quickly got up and ran.
However, I wasn't paying attention and ran into another person. Another person I recognized.
He wore a formal black suit with a blue tie. He had glasses and black hair and seemed like your normal businessman. Miki.
"Mel, you know how sneaky she can be. You should've been more careful," he said. He smiled at me. A fake, I-Know-What-You're-About-To-Do-So-Don't-Do-It smile.
I was trapped between the only exit and the door to the hideout. The only other way out was up between the buildings, but I couldn't fly nor climb walls.
Meleoron had gotten up, glaring at me. "Well, you were there, so it all worked out."
Miki slowly came towards me and backed me towards the wall. "Now, since you didn't come quietly, I suppose we'll have to take you by force." He punched me square in the face before I could react.
Fight or flight. Flight was out now, unless I can get them to get away from my two options. I'll have to fight.
Neither of them had offensive quirks, but they were highly skilled. But so was I. They don't know how much I've trained the past few years. My face stung from the punch. Meleoron wasn't as skilled as Miki, so I swiped Miki's legs out from under him, causing him to lose balance. Meleoron jumped at me and I ducked.
They were caught off by surprise by my fighting skills compared to last time. Both of them were in the middle of the alleyway now, leaving the entrance to the hideout and the exit open. I couldn't think too much on which way I should go, so I went for the entrance. There were allies there, while the exit did not.
I had a mini-heart attack when the door wouldn't open when I tugged it at first, but thankfully it did.
I rushed in, looking around for someone, anyone. The hideout was a small bar, and sometimes Tomura would have close allies come over to help with a mission. However, only Tomura and another, familiar person was there. They were discussing something.
The other person was Shota.
Before I could ask for help, or think why Shota was here, a sudden pain hit the back of my head and I fell unconscious.
