I wonder how the guys are doing. They've probably got their weapons by now, which sucks. Preston thought to himself over the screaming of the voice. Ugh. I'm bored.
I could show you-
'Show me that one more time, and I'm putting myself back to sleep.' The Tauran threatened, glaring at the ceiling as if the voice was there before covering his eyes with one arm.
Maybe sleep isn't such a bad idea. Seto did mention that the voice would go away if I-A knock at the door silenced his thought. Raising an eyebrow at the door, Preston pushed himself up and called out for them to come in.
'Preston?'
'Oh, hi Rob!' He chirped, waving at the prince as he walked through the door. Rob nodded in response, seemingly distracted as he leant against a wall.
'Hey.''What's up?'
'Are you okay?'
They both spoke at the same time. Preston giggled at that, while the older brunet only cracked a small smile.
Definitely weird.
You're weird.
Dude, shut up.Sorry.
'Rob, is everything okay?' He asked slowly, standing up and looking at the prince inquisitively. 'You're not... Yourself.'
Neither was the voice, now that he thought about it, so this whole thing was probably a dream.
'I haven't been myself in a while.'
~~~
The Tauran awoke to a quiet voice. He panicked at first, before realizing that it had been a dream and sighing in relief.
'Preston? Are you awake?'
But Rob is here. Weird.
'Ugh... I am now, yeah. What're you doing in here? I thought Seto told you-'
'Seto's with the boys right now. I came to check upon you, not exactly by Seto's orders but eh. How are you feeling?' The prince asked quietly, glancing at the door every so often as if expecting the sorcerer the kick it open, all magic blazing, and shoot the boy into another dimension.
Pffft, poor kid.
'I think I'm okay at the moment, thanks. So what are you supposed to be doing right now?'
'We picked up some weapons earlier, and I'm meant to be at the training arena right now.'
'Sounds like you're missing out on some fun.'
'Yeah,but I don't mind. I wanted to know if you were okay.'
'Aw, Robbie, you really do care about me!' Preston teased. 'But seriously, I'm okay. Go have fun.'
'...Come with me. We can head to the arena together, if you're up for-'
'Yeah!'
Rob stared at his (overly enthusiastic) friend, before cracking a smile as he practically launched off of the bed to grab his jacket. He's actually adorable.
Wait, what? Nah, that's tiredness and worry talking. Back to reality, Prince.'You ready to go?
'Yep, never more ready. Let's go!'
>+<
'Robert Latsky, where the Hell have you been?'
Of course, the king had turned up to watch the team's first training. Preston could practically feel his friend's blood run cold as his father called out, and glanced over to see him more tense than he'd ever been.
'Father, I-I can explain-'
'Save it. Seto, get on with their training, and I'm expecting a report by the end of the day.' The elder royal sent a freezing cold glare towards his son, who physically whimpered at the look as King Sebastian exited the arena's stands. An awkward silence filled the hall-like room, until Vik dropped one of his daggers. 'Sorry!'
